    Thanks to all Posters:T
  • Been keeping away from this comp since T&Cs changed ! But I love reading all the wins you guys are getting. Although jodester is seriously having a good year and I am very jealous :p

I may get slated for this, but hey ho.

When the T&Cs changed, people started to veer away from code swapping until someone pointed out there was no evidence that the code swapping was the problem and until McVities made their issues clear, it was all systems go !

However, the reply purplebutterfly received ~HAS~ indicated that the code swapping is the issue and McVities are not happy with this element.

So is it wise to still keep discussing code swapping? Can MSN be used instead? Also I have seen a lot of specific codes mentioned relating to wins - is this wise? eg, mrwobblebottom is offline and I need to contact them. If anyone else has their codes, please leave off 1111 1111. Then in the next post, woopee I've won a shared £100. Its not subtle.

    Am I worrying too much?
    Paranoia from too much bonking?
Jealousy cos I am not winning?

  • as none of you are breaking any rules and are as pure as the driven snow, would you be concerned if the telegraph or the times had a link to this forum?
  • If the times or telegraph had a link to this forum and did a feature on it, surely that would mean more people would be doing the comp and swapping codes?

Dont think anyone is particularly concerned that they may have broken rules katiewil. Its all down to interpretation and loopholes. Unclear t&cs will invite trouble and problems everytime.

Compers work within the rules - they just may read a little more into it than the average person. If there is a way to make money or win prizes, compers will know how to do that perfectly legally within the t&cs given.

  • purchase a packet of biscuits. enter code 5 times?
  • Not sure I understood that reply katiewil.

I think you and the other people who have a problem with this code swapping keep forgetting that 99% of the people HAVE purchased a packet and entered the code 5 times. Most people will have over 30 packets each, some have 70 packets. So everyone has purchased a packet and entered the code. We are all genuine consumers.

Its what you do with the packet after that which seems to have caused some problems.

I am not sure why you are still posting on here. I appreciate you can do what you like, but if I have a moral issue with people going bankrupt I wouldnt frequent the bankruptcy board. If someone has an issue with reclaiming PPI or bank charges, I wouldnt recommend they venture into those boards. I dont get why you are still reading this board and getting irate with the users?

I find it interesting that some people post their views then delete their posts. If they stand by what they say then why do that?

I just hope that the people who have innocently accepted mass numbers of codes, spent their time entering, then share their wins, actually get something out of this promotion and don't get disqualified because they have been encouraged to use multiple addresses and/or can't produce all the wrappers they used that day.

And before anyone jumps down my throat, I still maintain that it is McVs fault this has happened. If there is a loophole, people are going to use it and this one is full of holes.

But they shouldn't justify it by saying they are being kind and sharing. Some on here are getting at least £25 for nearly every biscuit wrapper they buy by 'sharing'. When I have used my codes and won a big and small, I'll be happy giving them away, they will be of no use to me.

    Each to their own.

Once again best of luck to everyone that has put any effort into this promotion.

Only one thing annoying me at the moment about this competition - I can't win on the bloody thing :mad::mad::mad: lol

I personally thinks its a great comp - its certainly got us all buying and talking about McVities biscuits, and lots of peeps have done exceptionally well with wins.

Roll on the next one (might book some time off work so I can bonk properly lol)
