I think that this is a good comp and we have all won money from it and will continue to do so. I don't think that having a go at McV's will work in our favour. Ok so the cheques are late but look what happened with the Magnum comp. We all got paid out in the end. Lets carry on bonking codes and sharing until McV's actually change the T&C's again.:beer:

I emailed McVities on the 4th September to ask them to clarify the ever-changing T&Cs :rolleyes: and also to ask if I was still able to enter following a £50 win. This is their response (and it only took 7 full days for them to reply! WOW! They're really on the ball with this one aren't they? )


We are keeping all aspects of the promotion under close review and continuing to monitor any comment made by consumers in relation to the Bonkers activity. Please be assured that we do not wish any consumer or purchaser of our brand to have any concern in relation to the current activity and regret to learn that this should be the case.

The Bonkers activity is designed to give purchasers the opportunity to win a share of a total daily amount, as communicated on packs. We believe the Terms and Conditions do sufficiently explain the detail of the promotion to entrants, and the opportunities to win and the means to claim the prizes, providing the terms and conditions are met for prize fulfilment.

It is the case that the Terms and Conditions were reviewed and updated, and your comments in this regard have been noted. However, the reason for this was due to the belief that some people were entering excessively and also that a number of consumers were complaining of code swapping within different forums. Neither of these were seen to be within the spirit of the promotion to give all consumers and purchasers of the brands a fair opportunity to enter the competition and to have the chance to become a winner. After any promotional activity we will always review all feedback that is received and we will look again at whether this aspect could have been reasonably predicted for a promotion of this kind, but we can advise that this was the reason that the terms and conditions were changed. We can also confirm that this was the only reason that the terms and conditions were changed, in order to ensure a fair and consistent chance for all consumers to win.

We want to give all consumers the chance to win a large prize in addition to a smaller prize throughout the promotion, we feel that clarification of this is shown in the amendment. We are, however, keeping all aspects of the promotion under close review and continuing to monitor any comment made by consumers in relation to the Bonkers activity

If it started on the 17th and people then had to send their packs, you have to allow a couple of days for post processing and then them doing the admin at the other end, that ties in with what someone was told about the cheques being sent out this week. Post is terrible at the moment as well.
