hmmm, this crossed my mind too. Mainly because the newly changed T&Cs still don't prevent swapping. If it was swapping that was the problem why haven't McVities just put in there..'No swapping'...? Hardly rocket science.0 -
I must admit, initially when this competition started I honestly thought that McVities knew full well that people would swap codes and had actually constructed the comp deliberately to allow that. I presumed their idea was that families would be swapping with families, friends swapping with friends, colleagues with colleagues. People in shops asking to swap, at bus stops etc... the whole of the country crazily buying and swapping codes.... going absolutely bonkers about biscuits.
It's a shame really, a competition like that, which promoted sharing and community spirit in these credit crunch times, would have gone down in history and been pretty much genius thinking.
I totally agree McVities have lost out BIGTIME..this would have been just the best publicity campaign for them and lets face it, most people who would enter this competition have access to the internet. They haven't lost any money because they allocated £5000 per day anyway.
The country could have gone "TOTALLY BONKERS" for a few weeks....0 -
Last week in work our staff room table was full of Penguins and and wafers. We were buying, swapping and eating them together.. great fun while it lasted.0

Terms and conditions - why does everyone word them is such a strange manner anyway, why, it's to trip people up and say 'Aha they didnt follow rule blah blah blah' Now if they were to use straightforward english, easy to understand phrases that could not be interpereted in any other way then everyone would know where they stand. No-one ever does this though do they, its like the catch, the small print, the big con and this is what makes Joe public dubious about entering.
The t&C's are purposley written the way they are to con people out of winning - simples. :rotfl:0 -
OK then...until we're told otherwise.....who's up for a bit of swapping?!!!
I don't have any new codes today..... but maybe you have a relative who would like to try them?!
I have an hour or so free this morning and then I will try the rest when I get back this evening.Swagbucking Newbie 19th August 20170 -
Jodes is thinking maybe I should sell my non winning boxes on ebay :-P

im totally confussed by this competition but other than forums how can mcvities prove people swapping codes
even on forums they cannot prove the people who have been swapping codes i mean come on weve all brought buiscuits on here we havent just used say 20 codes off say 5 people
i know i have gone out just to get these codes ive brought approx 20 promotional items
plus i will be buying more on tuesday as tesco have great mcvities offers at the moment
mcvities could have just made the code work only 5 times ect .
its a pretty messed up competition to me
sorry its just my opinion0 -
Integrity?
When there is a competition involved and a large amount of money, I dont think integrity is always assumed to be present.
I personally am honest, trustworthy and genuine. But I will use a loophole if it saves me money or makes me money. As dooby says, this site is full of them ! If you use all the forums and read the newsletters, it is in your blood to look for loopholes and use them - as dooby says parking fines, bank charges, PPI, double the difference at Tescos ( huge loophole, not a particular display of integrity), quidco ( think payday loans recent one who paid you to take out a small loan - great loophole) etc....
I am sure there are lots of people who would say half the things I do are not in the spirit of life, or lacking integrity. My friends dad calls me 'sneaky'. I dont think I am, I have morals,I have never been in trouble with the police, I donate to charity, I live life legally and honestly.
Its just this site gives me information most people wouldnt ever know in their life !!
I love Erine's idea and the thought of it being an advert. That is truly going bonkers for biscuits ! What a shame it worked for us all here, but not for McVities head office !VR repayment £404 £156.02 PAID
Airpods repayment £249 £185 £75.90 PAID
Airpods repayment £144 £99.01 PAID

Has anyone won a £50 they cant claim yet? Im wondering if it stops you seeing a win if you cannot win that amount again.0
