    I have a reply :)

    well thats one question resolved

Has the time not changed in that response too?
does it not say sep 3rd at 10.30 on the t&c's but in the response it says
    11.30

did they say if we are getting all the wins before the 3rd (at what ever time they finally decide?) or are they not answering that question?

Well sort of, but they still haven't said whether our entries will be blocked from winning another of that sort of prize at the online entry stage or if we will be able to keep winning and then select which one major prize we claim (obviously the biggest we get). Obviously if we win a major prize we will keep trying to win a minor one too.

Would you be able to ask the person who replied to you?
  • The address was only the standard McVities consumer services one, sorry. Atleast I got some answers, I am as confused as anyone else. You can use that reply to Mr Mutton if you wish.
The only thing I am worried about now is the "taken into consideration" bit. They aren't even being clear on whether they will honour multiple wins before the 3rd Sept
Septembers best bits: Luxury Holiday, £2000 Bonkers about Biscuits :j £100 of very very sexy underwear, Childrens books and toys!

A JAFFA CAKE IS A CAKE NOT A BISCUIT. FACT

We shall see what changes they will make AGAIN to their terms come the morning:rolleyes:

Good point - has anyone checked the T&C's in the last 20 mins??!?

Actually I think the latest MS Internet Explorer has a function to alert you if there is any change to text on web pages which you can select. Hmmm... looks like a good time to try that one!
    EDIT: Um... no it doesn't!

I will be really peed off if they don't honour all wins before Sept 3rd as I've been out & bought a couple of bits that I couldn't afford if I didn't have this money coming so I will be a bit stuffed!
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

I think they've already made it clear the T&C's that they will.

So , I just have to hope that I can win a biggie, the chances are pretty slim I reckon so I wont be buying in the quanties I was. So far i havent done any swaps anywhere, but this makes me tempted to do so now...

I still haven't had a phone call back from this morning & haven't chased them, at least I know what they're gonna say!

I can keep going for a biggie, but like my Hubby said, it's not worth bothering in his name as he won £100 last week. . . So Mum has asked me to enter for her, as have my Dad & StepMum. I'm happy to do this for them & if they choose to give me some of the money if I win for them, then it's all good.

I'll be honest - I only bought McVities for the comp - we usually have a Value Biscuit Barrel pack from the local superstore, as we don't want to eat too many - Harry's turned into a monster with Jaffa Cakes - they're a special treat!

It's a shame - they really didn't think this competition through when they were organising it & it shows. At least with Magnum, they sorted the problems out very quickly, even though the payout was delayed, we knew what we were getting.

Good luck to others, but once I've had anything for the parents, we'll be bowing out!

They'll have to honor them and they know it.

The terms and conds at that time that you ticked to accept were for winning a minor and a major per day. They wrote those terms, you accepted them, you won, they should by law pay out. They know this and that's why when they've changed their terms they've stated an 'as from ' date.

Try not to fret too much about it. Also, the terms state that they will pay out within 28 days so not much longer to wait till the cheques start rolling in. x
