Sorry, I know this has been asked before but I'm asking it again - WHAT counts as a major win? Because if it is £100 or over then I'm screwed

I've just been reading up on this as well, I thought £100 would be a minor but not so.
I'm out of this now as well if this is the case:rolleyes:

So if i have only won £50's...and enter for a bigger one and another £50 comes up will they disqualify me or do i just not send wrapper in and claim it...

That's what we don't know. If anyone from McVities is watching then please can they clarify?

I guess right from the beginning this limit was on on a daily basis so we knew we could try again the next day but now I'm not so sure. All these £50 that we can't claim if we win, they will go to the next person who entered after that time. That rule is still in place. But chances are that person can't have it either.

Wouldn't it just be easier to limit the entries to a number of codes per household per day then everyone gets a fair go without throwing away wins they cant claim.
  • Obviously they won't disqualify you unless you try to claim both £50 wins

Problem is Mcvities aren't running the comp. A promotion company are.

We cant speak to the promotion team, I called and a customer care person didn't even know the T&C's had been changed????
Think it's about time the comping fairy remembered where I am! lol

  • I work for a firm of Solicitors and if McVities don't or can't sort out reasonable rules and Mr Mutton cannot resolve this there can be consideration of us bringing a collective legal action against McVities if we believe the Contract (e.g. T&C's in this instance) are seen as unfair and therefore unenforceable. For people who have won the odd £50 this may not seem worth it but it would require everyone to be strong as a collective to make it work. I am sure that McVities would not want to see their name dragged through the courts, particularly with the mockery of the T&C's they are now making. Please everyone, once you spot a T&C changing (e.g. the 1st September to 3rd September one spotted today) ensure you post the revised T&C's to the site and we can ensure we have a continuing thread of evidence.
