not that intelligent i dont know how twitter works:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
and the world can see twitter
  • And I also acknowledge I am a bit biased too, because to date I haven't won so much as a sausage in my own name!!!!:angry:
But hey - we both have different opinions and we are both welcome to them so I don't want to dispute what you say as I've loved the banter and people met through this thread and don't want to leave it at loggerheads. I would leave it as a suggestion to those uncomfortable with the prospect to remove their posts and in turn the trail of info around the codes.

As long as there's nothing to directly link your name, address and other personal details from the forum from your win which posting codes isn't - as Surgeoner said codes aren't unique so codes can't be blocked and there is no way for McVities to prove your code came from here as long as you don't publicly post information that links your win to a code and in turn an MSE'er.

The problem here is that when someone wins they post it on the forum, so McV can look at which code won at that time and even what the unique reference code was and when the claim is sent in to them they will know who that person on the MSE thread is. It will be obvious even if the forum name of the winner does not relate to their real first name.

We know that Clause 5 of the T&Cs implies that sharing is allowed, however publicly advertising all your codes for any internet user to access and use is pushing it a bit really and I doubt anyone would consider it within the spirit of the competition!!

Anyone using their full real name as their forum name should be really careful, should seriously consider changing it and shouldn't include the names of other family members in their posts either... Not mentioning any names;)
  • We should get Martin to do an MSE Bonkers Question Time - am sure we'd do far better than many of those numptys on TV every Thursday night!!!!
