    Aaarrrghhhhhh just had a £50 that I can't claim:mad:
how come you cant claim :(
  • But a claim through small claims court would force them to respond and would be a cost effective way to force this whatever the T&C's state. If they won't enter into correspondence on it the claim will succeed because they won't file a defence. Any competition governed by Law in England and Wales requires victims of travesties to have a right for their case to be heard and no competition T&C's can override this regardless of what they may purport. Shoudl they lose, they would have to pay court fees, costs plus the winner their money. They would be foolish to ever let it get so far.

    IMO :-)
Thing is, they don't HAVE to justify it. It says so in the rules. They won't enter into correspondence and they have the final say.

They've made the T&Cs pretty watertight on this one. What they say goes - proof or no proof. Justification or none.

Whilst they may have accepted the PM'ing of codes, openly publishing them just seems like a sure-fire way to !!!! them off.

    Hi Annie,

If you know of a way that they could do that then that would be key information to share with everyone because I've thought long and hard about it through the comp and cannot see any way that they can. MSE cannot be compelled to divulge anyones personal info so McVities cannot obtain it that way and as long as you don't have your email (which you also key into Bonkers) on your profile I don't see how the connection can be made but please advise if you know otherwise.

    .

Dont have any information. But they are already over the 28 days for paying out on a lot of claims. They could easily delay paying out the cheques.
    They have already said

"We have revised the terms and conditions so that more people have the chance of winning and to stop any fraudulent claims."

  • But hey - we both have different opinions and we are both welcome to them so I don't want to dispute what you say as I've loved the banter and people met through this thread and don't want to leave it at loggerheads. I would leave it as a suggestion to those uncomfortable with the prospect to remove their posts and in turn the trail of info around the codes.
