Lol...I'm pleased he's made it too. Last thing I wanted was him back home and me having to listen to his tales of woe.
Becles....will text him a reminder about visa exit money. I'd forgotten about that so he likely will have too. Thanks.Herman - MP for all!0 -
what he doesn't know is that his suitcase is still in the boot of the car0

I think he's better off having some dollars in Mexico as well as pesos? Anyone else know? I think my friends were reccommended to do that recently0

Crikey!! You were right the first time, he is lucky.
Actually, you're probably right. If that had've been me....I'd have missed it completely or broken my leg running or something.
Mind you....I wouldn't have run out of petrol in the first place.:Dwhat he doesn't know is that his suitcase is still in the boot of the car
:rotfl: That was a scarily accurate possibility.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Just thought I'd update this....he clearly was not meant to go on holiday.....his bank account has now been frozen. :rotfl:
Just as well he's all inclusive.
Apparently it looked suspicious with cash being withdrawn in Mexico. He has no money at all now.
I was given a phone number by our own branch, to contact to get them to unfreeze the account but it may not be instant. He's also run out of calling credit so cant use his own mobile or a public phone.
Just as well he has a Mum with internet access.
I realise the bank are only being security conscious but you'd think they'd phone first to query if the transactions were legit or not before automatically blocking his card and freezing his account.Herman - MP for all!0 -
It is certainly not plain sailing for him. You are lucky if the bank lets you deal with this on his account. Good luck.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

No, I couldn't phone the special number for him, he had to do that himself which is where the phone problem came in.Herman - MP for all!0

Hahahah - he'll learn. I went to New Zealand with a friend of mine (a week after coming back from Norway working as it happens), we travelled around and flew back via a 3 day stop in LA where we ran out of money. Luckily my friends mam managed to get the bank to extend her visa card. Taught us both a lesson.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0
