determined that by the time i come in on monday the ironing pile will be no more, the mending pile will be mended and the spare curtains wil be transformed into new pelmet covers to match the new curtains. if it is all done it will be nothing short of a miracle:rotfl:

    Afternoon all

Weather has stayed fine here so far today but there are some very dark clouds hanging around, so washing has been put on my new airer (thanks Ivyleaf, I got one from Lidl today:D) and the airer is out in the garden so that I can make a quick dash and fetch it in if the rain does start. Best of both worlds!

I have been working this morning, then went shopping afterwards and filled car up with petrol. Came home, put shopping away, took dog for a walk, done all floors downstairs and polished, emptied wm and dw, done some ironing, cleaned bathroom and packed car ready for our weekend away, just waiting for OH to get home from work now and I bet he comes in and says he has had a hard day! lol:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I am now sitting having a coffee and a break:D. I need to wrap DD2 birthday presents for next Tuesday before she comes in from work, as I know I will be busy at work on Monday so might not get much chance before then.

Hope you all have a nice weekend

    xxx

Quiche has been made, also a cherry pie, and I've had my first go at baking Birsay biscuits; it's a recipe that uses some of the bere flour I bought when visiting Orkney. They look and smell good, just have to sit on my hands now so that I don't sample them before Mr LW comes home from work.:p

    Afternoon all:j:j
well got back from town about 20 mins ago. And we picked up a couple of real bargins.
Bargin one was a very large shoulder of pork from the bucher that cost
    Only £2.99.
Will be chopping this up into three joints to have on a
    Sunday for dinner.

Bargin two was another pork joint of pork its like top of leg and
leg down to the knee. And only cost £0.99:T very cheep.

Bargin three was a beef brisket that only cost £2.99
Not large but a good size.

We will be having the 99p one tonight with veg and roast spuds.

    Have a great evening all
:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j

Well managed to get some of my to-do jobs done .The top coating went o.k. and so far have done the freezer list and just printed it up. But this afternoon first eldest DD turned up with DGS in tow and they had just gone about ten minutes and youngest dd arrived with five dgchildren plus dog.So the best laid plans of Grannies went out of the window .They have all just gone having eaten their way through biscuits ,fruit ,ice crean ect but I don't mind as they are good fun and thats what grandma's are for a little bit of spoiling.
Just going to have a couple of sausages and a beefburger from the freezer with some salad for dinner then its feet up and a bit of knitting and t.v. for the rest of the evening .There's always tomorrow for to-do things and grandchildren are more important than the list I can always fit my little jobs in around the children.I would rather have a big hug from them than a tidy kitchen and cupboard. Hope everyone had a good day
    Cheers all

    HI folks...
Very dry/sore throat so heading to bed in a minute, maybe just overwork as I managed to cook dinner for everyone, bake 2 weetabix cakes, coffee traybake and hoover downstairs....with 4 grandchildren around most of the day that is a lot of work, believe me, the house looks like the aftermath of an explosion in a toy shop!

Hugs to all in need or want, congratulations to those who are celebrating
