Hope everyone is ok,I've still been reading if not posting,as not much OS going on really,or is it just that its now a way of life and I don't notice?
Hope the weather keeps fine for the weekend and everyone has a good one.x

    Morning all
I'm late getting on here this morning, hubby is driving me insane, he's on lates & doesn't have to be at work til 10:30 & is like a caged lion with piles, he can't bear sitting around, but doesn't feel he can get stuck in to anything too big as he has to get to work, aarrggh.
I was on slug patrol at 5:30 this morning & hanging washing on the line, DW & WM have both been on & emptied & then both went on again with a cleaner in them, both filters are now clean as well.
Plans for today include doing my roots, painting my nails & any other me stuff that needs doing.
HJ, enjoy your weekend, DIY? I've never heard it called that before!
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs hester

    Hello All

Heading out in a bit. I need to check to make sure I've been paid by one of the companies I work for. I was meant to have been paid earlier this week, but hadn't been and as I need to invoice them again for this month soon, I need to see if I need to re-bill for June. It's not even a huge sum of money, but every penny really counts right now.

Then I'll be off to get petrol and some celephane cover things to put my HM cards in ready to sell on Sunday. Jewellery's ready to go, so that's one less thing to worry about.

I was going to the theatre tonight with some free tickets, but I've given them to my Nan and our neighbour as it's more up their street than mine. So I get the evening to myself, which will be great.

For lunch I shall have left over trout from last night's dinner with some salad. Not sure what dinner will be yet as everyone's all over the place.

Washing is on the line and dishwasher emptied to be refilled.

Had a robin fly into the window this morning so had to nurse him back to health. He was dazed for a good hour or so, but then happily flew away:T

    Hope everyone's ok

Morning all, anniestar - so lovely to see you back! We've missed you :)

Late night and an early morning for me... group outing was intresting. My boss got lost on the river and was punting round the cherwell loop for three hours with two members of the lab and never found the other ten of us, I fell in (it always happens - I hate punting), OH jumped in and we all ended up having too much beer and large bags of chips on the way home :) I have a headache, but it was quite fun in an odd sort of way :) Our poor Spaniosh vistor was most confused at the insanity of it all :)

Busy tomorrow, a visitor for Germany, a party to help organise and a hire car to collect. I have to get my bike from the garage and do some work. Knebworth on Sunday.

I have been trying to negotiate with my former boss - who is being nice to me atm - to try and get someone's work credited but it isn't going too well :(

OH is doing the OS thing in the flat today. It is his visitor and his mess therefore his problem :D I did put some washing in earlier before I left, put the trash out and did the washing up, so I've done worst jobs. I will get some shopping on the way home.

Have a good day all, cel x

    Afternoon all.

I should really be in the kitchen making a quiche for tonight's dins, and a cherry pie for the weekend. Must go and do that when I've done this post.

Molly-Dog's arriving at about 19:00 this evening, so looking forward to that; must remember to get Mr LW to bring my scooter battery in so that I can make sure it's properly charged.

Poor Mr LW nearly forgot to shave this morning! Usually he does his teeth, then shaves, then has his bath, but the batteries in his toothbrush died, and going to fetch new ones caused a "break" in the usual routine, and he came back and got straight in the bath. Luckily, he realised in time. I hadn't realised, either - but then, I'm not entirely compos mentis at that time of the morning.

Got to go to Stony Stratford market tomorrow, and Olney farmers market Sunday. I hope it stays dry, so that we can take Molly with us.:o

I see that the house next door is now on the market. I hope it goes quickly - that man has made my life a living hell for the past two years, and I can't wait to see the back of him.

Oh well, the pastry won't make itself, better get my posterior in gear.

((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today.

    Hello everybody:hello:

It is very noisy chez Thrift today. OH came home last night with a second hand drum kit in his car. DS2 has been learning the drums at school for the past year. We never intended to buy a drum kit (too expensive and no room) but a colleague of OH's was offering one for £30. It had cost him £380 ten years ago. Well, you can't pass up a bargain like that can you? So it is installed in the garage and DS2 is happily bashing away on it:rolleyes:

I am trying to listen to England demolish the Aussies in the test match:D:p Aussielass. My mum and dad are at Edgbaston watching it without drum accompaniment -lucky things.

DD has gone to the cinema with her gran and aunty so she's had an early bacon sandwich lunch. I'm making watercress and lettuce soup to eat with bacon sandwiches for me and the boys. Lettuce and watercress I bought for salads looking a bit limp;)

I have some pork hocks (from the 'half a pig' I bought for the freezer some months ago) simmering in some water with an onion, carrot, bay leaves. I'm going to take the meat off the bone and do something with it for tomorrow -stovies maybe or a pie.

Tinned salmon for tea -fishcakes or kedgeree.

    Another wicket:j:j

Now caught up on yesterday's thread (really must do some wo*k in a mo! LOL!) - Lame Wolf - if you are looking for Throws and have an ASDA nearby then give them a go...I got fleecy ones and woven ones for £2 each last year - they are not huge (would take 3 to totally cover my 3 str sofa I reckon) but they wash really well. I got an extra fleecy one to make draught-excluders with for this winter, which I must get around to doing one of these days! I'd never have thought of looking for them in ASDA, but have been surprised at how cheap, stylish (& good quality) their 'home' section is getting nowadays.

    Hi everyone,

The end of another week. I seem only to post on Friday's - probably because the weekend is the only time i really have to get to grips with OS.

DS and GF have gone with her family to Whitby camping so I hope the weather cheers up. I made them some mocha squares to take. He rang a little while ago to say the camping trailer had a puncture and could I find somewhere for them to take it! Hopefully it's now sorted.

DD is in Isla haveing spent a couple of days earlier at Glenmorangie House on a work thing, she's back tonight but not coming home, which is a shame as I was looking forward to seeing her. Never mind we've got tickets to see War Horse at the theatre next week so I'll see her then.

And finally, drumroll, the carpet in the hall is being fitted today - only 10 nonths after we bought it!

Will need to spend the weekend de-cluttering I think.

    See you.
