...maybe I'll buy one when I cash my money in...or is that a false economy? :rotfl:
Does it pile the money up from the top? If so it looks like it throws the money into the tubes -surely not? They could miss and fall out? :S
It does dispense the coins from the top but it's quite gentle and they always go in the tubes - never miss!If you will the end, you must will the means.0 -

The bank told me that they have bags in the machine that only hold 500(I think) of each coin, when a bag fills up, the machine stops and they have to reset it at the rear after emptying the 500 coins (saves them counting them also), it is a bit of a pain and I think they need larger bags in the machines.
what happens though if it fills up mid way through a customer paying thge coins, is that amount then credited and then a seperate batch paid in when its reset??? or do you have to pay the rest in at the counter??
also do people on here count them first as how do you know if the amount it asks you to confirm is correct, i havent bothered before as has only been £10-15 that i have paid in but am paying in £30+ tomorrrow and worried some of it may not go throughMFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -

This has happened to me:
- your account is immediately credited with the amount it accepted before it became full
- any other coins that were still being processed by the machine go into the 'reject/overflow' tray
- once they reset the machine - which took about 5 minutes once it was mentioned to a member of staff - you can start putting in the coins again which is credited as a separate deposit
I would have thought that each machine could cope with more than 500 of each coin type before being full - perhaps it depends on the size of the coin?

I leave my loose change on the nearest flat suface everytime I come in from work.
Then the kids nick it.

Surely for pennies it'll take more than 500? That's only £5!0

Sorted.
My teenagers leave loose change everywhere, floor, cupboards, in pockets of jeans ready for washing.
I nick it for car park at work:D - sorted.0
