Loose Change Pays My Debt version 2

Hi! I am collecting all my loose change and saving it up to pay towards a debt. So far I have saved £50 and paid it toward a CC debt.

This is really easy to do and makes you feel like you are making a difference toward paying off your debts. It's amazing how quickly the change from shopping can build up and accumulate!

We now have nearly 55 people on this challenge! I think that's worth celebrating! WELL DONE everybody on saving those pennies - remember, look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves! We can beat those debts and get those financial problems under control. Keep going, and don't forget to update us on your progress!*

Announcing: Saver of the Month competition!
As you can see, LesleyHalifax has the big pink stars next to her name for being such a good saver last year. I thought it would be nice to have this every month, it will keep us focused!

Let's count up over the last weekend of the month - everyone must post by Sunday at 8pm to enter. I will put pink stars next to the name of the winner and the stars will stay there for one month. Then they will move to whoever wins the next month's Saver of the Month!

I'd like to join in. This is a great idea. I try to save my small change to pay towards something anyway but have been paying it into the bank every week and its becoming a pain to queue up each week. So I'll join in with you all and save in one of my piggy banks - Think I'll chose the Hello Kitty one! I'll go for £50 as well.:hello:

It's really great to have you guys joining in with this challenge. We will soon be out of debt! I'm so desperate to pay off my debts so I'm really pleased to have your support and I will definately keep encouraging you too. Things are much easier to do when you are not doing it alone! :T

Keep posting when you add loose change to your pots/piggybanks/whatever you are saving in! Then we can cheer you on! :j

Oooh, great I've been added! :T Off to do my signature again! My sister thinks I've gone potty saving my change - she asked me would I bend down to pick up a copper coin from the ground. I always pick up any I've dropped myself but now I reckon I'd pick up any if they had no 'owner'.:o

P.S. My target is €50 and so far I have €6 in my jar.

Hi TJRetro, welcome to the challenge!

Nuala, you are quite right to pick up loose change from the ground. Too bad for the person who dropped it (unless they are still nearby!) cos they could be saving it to pay their debt! Now it's paying off yours!

Focus, well done on adding to your jar.

I've not put any money in today, but only cos I haven't spent any. Went to a BBQ in the park and as we were the last to leave and some people didn't take home the stuff they had brought that wasn't used so we've inherited several cartons of juice, a bottle of fizzy pop and a packet of burgers! Result!

Can I join in please. I'm saving my change to help me with the PAD challenge. I don't use cash a lot of the time so when I get change it's very useful as a PAD!!
