Welcome Jellie and Lesley and Jo
I was really impressed Lesley by how much you've saved so far. It's fine you've spent it, that's what it's there for. It's far better to use that than stick it on a CC or something. How long did it take to save that much?
don't laugh at this rosepink, but since payday in feb (27th), I decided after i paid all my bills, i allocated £10 a day, for lunches etc, and what was left over went in a jar, you will be surprised how quickly it builds up, I was going to use it to save up for a nintendo Wii, but will have to start again, WILL HAVE TO BE MORE DISIPLINED:mad:sealed pot challange 5 member 1478 £0/£200

Lesley, I would love to get a Wii, they look so fun! And great for getting more exercise, which I could really do with. I'm watching the Biggest Loser and feeling guilty for just sitting here on the sofa!
Did you really save up all that money since Feb?"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

hello girls
hope all are having a good day.
rosepink i love the biggest loser i was addicted to it when it was on the cable afew months backit really makes me want to do exercise even though i get out of breathe after 5 mins lol
lesley wow i always knew that when you break a note the change just disappears but i never knew how much we waste without thinking about it. because its so easy to just spend a pound here and there. but saving that much in a month from change  makes me feel i can do so much better if i tried. well done you and if you did it once you can do it again.
keep up the good work people!!0 -
I've sealed my tin in an attempt not to spend it on junk. Have been having fun putting the coins in the slot that I cut in the top. Am using this tin  Also am going to try not to use the money until September, see how much money builds up over the summer :TDebt Free Wannabe :hello: LBM: 23/01/08

Hi folks,
Welcome to all the newcomers and good luck with your saving.
I've been busy so haven't been able to get on to the forums for a while but my money pot has not been neglected. I've added another €10 to mine since I went away. (Haven't found any on the ground yet though Rosepink.)
I like your tin tjretro! Although I'd feel thirsty and be tempted to spend the money!
Rosepink, I thanks for your WW cakes tip.:T Food is my vice, well one of them, so I'm always on the lookout for not-so-naughty treats.
