Hi Focus, 5p is still good - it's better than no p!

Thanks NualaBuala :D, i have a empty 2ltr bottle as my change jar and its right at the bottom at the moment. I promised myself i wouldnt cash it in until its full to the brim and im so eager to get more change in there but i just dont have any more to add lol but i guess it means im spending less which is still good.

what are you saving up for? anything good?

2L?!! Wow - you'll be very rich when it's full! Mine is a little old Dijon mustard jar - much easier to fill!:D And even that is still at the bottom!

Anyway, 6p is not to be sniffed at - you might not be at the top yet but you're further along than when you started. You could use a felt tip pen or stickers to put little target marks along the side so you get a sense of achievement sooner. Probably a silly idea but I'm getting very addicted to this saving thing!
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

I'm saving up to get to about 50 quid and then I'll pay that towards one of my loans. I do my main payments online but I love the feeling of doing something regularly. It makes me feel in control of my finances and keeps me motivated.

    How about you?

Morning all! What a lovely Friday it is. DH has left some change on the table, including 2 £ coins, so I will be relocating those to my money bag! It's going toward paying off his debts so I don't feel guilty!

I've been for a short walk down the road and then did part of my Davina workout DVD. I'm so unfit that I didn't finish it, but some is better than none! I can't remember the last time I did any proper exercise. I've been inspired by watching the Biggest Loser! I feel really good now!

TJ, that's so sweet that you want to buy your wife a new lappy. She will be thrilled I'm sure.

Lesley, I'm intrigued how you know how long it will take to fill your plastic bottle. Sounds like you will be rich at the end!

Focus, I'm sure you will reach your goal of buying a laptop. Perhaps you and TJ can have a race to see who gets there first! Just keep adding to your pot, no matter how slowly you will get there eventually.
