MSE does not post many housing news stories.

When they choose a post giving the impression that the crash is set to continue ad infinitum, then your post will be perfectly valid.

Without that, it's just meaningless wailing.

Property prices plummet to 2004 levels 6th May 2009

House prices continue to fall 27th March 2009

It would appear Carol that you only want to see, what you want to see.

All this "Government fiddles the figures", "vested interests" nonsense is making some people look a bit paranoid.

It's no surprise Carol, every other media outlet is doing the same thing, they are all in the sh*t, hoping that rising prices will able them to off load their debt to some mug..... unfortunately for us, there are plenty of mugs to go around at the moment.;)

But does MSE have debt it wants to offload?

Oh for goodness sake, are you as dim as you appear to be?

Can you not see the difference between posting facts eg prices rise/fall x% and hypothesis eg house price crash over?

    Really?

Well for a crash I would say you would need larger than last year drops (deops getting worse YOY).

For this year, yes the crash is over and possibly it could be for this crash. All other falls may only be in real terms (EG stagnent house prices and wage inflation)

How do you know 'the crash is over for this year', Really?

    Where's your crystal ball?

Well for falls to be greater than last year we would need what over 25%ish coming off house prices in 5 months.

I don't think that needs a crystal ball.

You are as dim as you appear to be.

If I posted Kenny what's his name is a child molester but put it in quotation marks, people will start to look at you funnily and think you're a child molester.

If mse regularly posted hypotheses about the future direction of the housing market, examining all the options, this post would be acceptable. The fact that it is inquotation marks does not make the content any more acceptable for an impartial site. Obviously, any housing news is going to be quoted from somewhere - are you suggesting mse goes and collates its own statistics and reports on these itself?

Such selective reporting does the site - and Martin- no favours.
