MSE loses claims to impartiality. Pah.

MSE does not post many housing news stories.
When they choose a post giving the impression that the crash is set to continue ad infinitum, then your post will be perfectly valid.
Without that, it's just meaningless wailing.0 -
Who's wailing?
Don't think it is me...
FWIW the headline is also clearly in quotes - identifying they are quoting someone.
If MSE felt house prices wasn't a valid subject, why would they set up this board?
Clearly they feel it is valid. Clearly it is a valid news story. Therefore it is appropriate to report it.
That is what they've done.
Do you suggest they should only report news you'd like? It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
To be fair they set up a forum dedicated to "house price crash"
Did that mean they lost impartiality then?0 -

if you look at the stats and it's only the House Price Index from the Nationwide for July
the low point of £147,746 was in February 2009, the average house is now priced at £158,871.
that is a 7.5% increase in house prices in just 5 months.
that's quite a bit.

No - they did no such thing. This forum is dedicated to House Prices, the Economy and the Recession.
What they actually did was the reverse - at one point, they restricted all mention of the crash to a single thread.

!!!!!!.
For goodness sakes:
1) you talk absolute rubbish
2) Are you aware of how inconsistent you are? I quote you from another thread:
.So we're not allowed to discuss the future direction of the housing market, chucky?
How's that, then?
If it's good enough for MSE, it's good enough for me
Why don't you actually answer some of the points put to you above?
Why is it OK for the news to be reported and debated when it agrees with your perspective, but not when it doesn't?
Delusional and foolish. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

It's no surprise Carol, every other media outlet is doing the same thing, they are all in the sh*t, hoping that rising prices will able them to off load their debt to some mug..... unfortunately for us, there are plenty of mugs to go around at the moment.;)0 -
