    ta for you help i really do appreciate it, this might sound stupid but I don't fully undertsnad, do I have to actually be inside a hotspot, for example say Mcdonalds, do I have to be inside? what if i'm 3 miles away?
    mcdonalds wifi is crap took me over 40 minutes trying to connect by which time id already had me big mac and coffe and my battery had died

    Can you receive O2 network at the location you are in? Is your dongle fully installed?

    I think the O2 connection manager software will prompt you to use Wifi if it senses it is there, and will connect you to it after following its prompts.
