Well, car failed MoT today and I'm...well, not to bothered to tell you the truith actually as I now get the train to work and the car has spent largely most of time stood outside the house for last three months since my job changed to an office-based one so I'll save money on insurance and tax :).

Car will probably be scrapped or sold "spares or repair " on Fleabay.
A number of years ago, I went about six years without owning a car so it's not too big a wrench - Needs not wants :D. Besides, I'm looking forward to using my bike more for local journeys too.

Apologies for the infrequent posts but things still "topsy turvy"/ unpredictable...well, that's life!!! lol :rotfl::rotfl:

Using the train for work is not only cheaper but is soooo much nicer than driving for an hour each way each day but I do miss my Radio 4 (yes, old fogey :D). I've finally 99% sorted out the bike and fully intend to use it for local travel and modest leisure rides to keep the tum in trim ...yeah right :rotfl:.

Financially, things ticking over ok as energy now switched to cheaper (not cheap) suppliers and YNAB is keeping me on the straight and narrow by reminding me that money can only be spent once!!

No major news or calamities to report. Keep on Going DFW'ers!!

Apologies for yet another infrequent post...this is happening frequently. Things still "topsy turvy"/ unpredictable...well, that's life!!! lol :rotfl::rotfl:

Still loving getting the train for work and now starting to use my bike for short trips too. :).

YNAB is still keeping me on the straight and narrow and managed to resolve a "balance versus budget" problem by carefully double-checking all of last two month's transactions one by one - success!!

Most impotantly, my OH was interviewed for her job - Agency temp to perm situation - on Friday and got it!!!. Huge sighs of relief all round!! :T:T:T

Still slowly but surely getting there. Keep on Going DFW'ers!!

A small bit of good news. Have just checked my credit report on Noddle and Cabot Finance, who manage two of my endebted accounts (one is defaulted, others status was "DM"), have changed the status from "Debt Management program" to "OK" :T.

So, as long as I keep to my DMP agreement, I now only have five defaults:

    2009 - 2No - these come off in July & September 2015 :)
    2010 - 2No
    2011 - 1No

A small step in the right direction :)

Another small bit of good news. Have just checked on Noddle and one of my defaults has dropped off my credit report :T.

So.... as long as I keep to my DMP agreement, I now only have four defaults:

Thank you Ellie. Look forward to you reaching your "Below £10k" milstone soon :). I'm going to be somewhat slower in getting there than you lol. A step forward is...a step forward :)

Well, it's about a week after payday and main financial tasks done i.e. Budget finalised in YNAB, finance records spreadsheets updated and fingers crossed, things should be ok :).

Still have a few small DIY jobs to do but spare funds....yes, spare funds :D...should accomodate this.

    [Quietly optimistic :)]
