Anyway I have had no interest in the stuff at all at auction or BIN, even with Best Offer, so I am now offering these items at substantially less than I paid. Its very depressing. But I have told myself - these things are paid for already, I need money now, so there's no point crying over the proverbial milk. Still sticks in my gut tho!

Can you hang on till nearer Christmas? you might do better then
  • My DH is trying to convince me to get rid of my Me To You bear collection :-( Most of them might not be worth too much & I only have about 20 but they were all bought for me from people who care & they mean much more than money to me so really hoping it doesn't come to that. I currently have some videos & books listed on Amazon so if sales pick up on there then it won't be a problem, with the books like DH says I can always borrow from the library if I really must read it again (Not listed my Harry Potter collection yet though but don't tell DH lol)

    Hi,

I'm not going to give away what I sell for a variety of reasons, I hope you don't mind. I used to sell random junk but now I am specialising in something I have been wanting to do for a while. I have a site I sell on too and I'm trying to get away from ebay because of the 100s of pounds I give them in fees every month. My profits would go up so much if ebay didn't take their cut.

To keep within ebays millions of rules which I wouldn't break anyway I basically have to pay a lot to list my items. It's complex but annoying.

I think I might start a problems with ebay post, come join me if you feel like moaning.

Back on topic. The items I sell are basically a hobby, and I spent a lot of time researching before going into my business and ebay is not my ideal place to sell. My items probably would do better outside ebay on a proper site (work in progress). So I don't think my help is any use as you seem to be more into the auction, sale things which isn't really my ideal selling location.

In general though I find the best sellers know a lot about their items whether it be research of through interest. It's worth spending some time thinking about what you want to sell, what you would be good at, what would sell well etc.

If you read my problems with ebay thread you might see why I'm a bit paranoid.

After all my problems, I don't want to attract any more attention to my auctions.
