I moved my account from that them about 5 years ago because their customer service has always been appalling - it seems nothing changes.0 -
Was your account at the same branch?that will happen after we get our money back for sure!!
I moved my account from that them about 5 years ago because their customer service has always been appalling - it seems nothing changes.
I have to say that I did as I said in my earlier post and the manager at my branch was appalled at the printout I gave her.
Apparently her regional manager was in with her today and she was going to give the details to them to sort out.
I suggested they post on here with maybe an alternative phone number for you to use to get this sorted so fingers crossed.
Do let us know what happens as I am keen to see if they actually take some sensible action.0 -
Can you tell us which branch is involved?:oflossy_splodge wrote: »Was your account at the same branch?

We were sorry to see your post and hear about the problems your mother-in-law experienced at our Sutton-in-Ashfield branch. As a result we've picked the matter up and escalated it to our Customer Engagement Team, who should be in contact with her today to resolve things.
I'll keep my eye on things and make sure this happens. Again, my apologies to your mother-in-law and I trust that we'll get everything sorted out to her satisfaction today.

NO this 100% genuine. Yorkshire got hold of my mother in law this morning and confirmed that they had (finally) checked the CCTV and seen her deposit the money and it all tallied up with regards to timing and drawing cash out from the branch.
The monies are to be deposited back into her account along with charges accrued.
Thankfully this should be the end of it although as ever, its a shame that things only get done when there is potential bad publicity round the corner for a bank. If I hadn't posted on this forum, I'd take a guess that this would have gone the whole 9 yards.
It also doesn't explain where the money went ??
but hey-ho, power to the people and all that and I guess a 'thanks' to Yorkshire Bank for sorting it out.
Thanks for all your help.0 -
Hi folks,
Just to reiterate, the YB Press Officer post above is genuine. We are sorting him out with a proper Company Representative login for future use now.
Glad this is getting sorted

I reiterate I have always found customer service at Yorkshire Bank to be exemplary so it is so important to give an organisation a chance, at the top, to take action.
There are always poor staff in any company, they just need to be sorted.
Great news it's sorted.:T0
