Best mobiles out there? contract has come to an end?
My phone contract is now running past its expiry date (which was 20th july) so im now looking into getting a new mobile and wanted to know what the best deal is out there? my contract:
Provider: Orange
Talk Time:700 mins
Texts: unlimited
free insurance
Mobile: Sony Ericsson K850i (worse phone dont ever get btw)
Obviously this contract was 18 months ago now, so times have changed alot since then
Preferably i would be after a contract fairly close, although i probably dont need as many minutes (talktime) but would like to add online use too.
I know the obvious best phone out there is the Iphone 3gs, which i really do like, although contract wise on price of what ive seen comes nothing to what i have at the moment, plus i dont wanty to be tied down for 24 months ??
Plus i know if i was to go with O2 on the iphone, the next day O2 would announce they have lost the exclusive rights and ORANGE will announce they will be selling it lol
So any advice would be much appreciated? also here the HTC HERO is a good phone??

The Hero is going to be nice - but what do you want, exactly?
I have a G1 (/HTC Dream) on T-Mobile, 700 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet (no free insurance - it's around £50 from TalkCover per year) on a cashback contract for £17.92pm for 18 months.
The Hero will be similar (admittedly with the new "Rosie" UI which you can put on the G1 if you wanted to...) to existing Android handsets - but you won't get the fold out keyboard found on the G1 for example.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -
Look at Carphone Warehouse etc. deals as that would be the basis to negotiate with your current supplier.
Also a comparison site could be worth trying --

I get 200 mins + 200 texts with o2 for £10 pm. (18mth contract) I got a Samsung Soul from them. I've been with them 6 years.0 -
I posted this on your other thread, so I guess I should repost it here:You can get the iPhone on an 18 month contract.
A 16 GB iPhone 3GS costs £87 when you take the £44 a month contract. For that you get 1200 minutes, 500 texts, and unlimited internet.
If you were to take the same contract over 24 months, you'd get the iPhone for free.0
