  • Has anyone any ideas on getting the route Swansea to Stockport any cheaper than £59 Return.

We ( 5 of us) need to arrive before 1pm on Sat 20th January (for a rugby game) leaving anytime on the next day.

    Thanks in advance

Are there any good deals to reduce a London monthly season ticket? Currently goes from St Neots -> King's Cross (I think) every day and then gets the tube / DLR to Canary Wharf. This is every morning and then he reverses it to come home every night.

Currently costs us £400+ every month. Are there any ways that we can reduce this without adding too much to the journey times? He already leaves at 6:00am to be in work for 8:30am and rarely manages to make it home by 19:30, unless he leaves before 5...and he's supposed to stay in work until 5:30.

Can we reduce this or shall we just live with it? :S

By booking before 1800 the day before it will be £45. In the south of the country, four people travel for the price of two - although I do not know if this this applies in Wales - so it will be best to ask at your local station.

Cheap fares haven't been released yet for June.
To travel via London Kings Cross - fares will be available from £20.50 each way with GNER - with a total journey time from Redhill of 3hr20.
An alternative route would be via Reading which is a much longer route (5hr30 - 6hr) though fares are from £11 each way.

    any help much appriciated
  • Hi Yeslek.
A little long winded, but depending on when you want to go,you may want to look at Megatrain from London to Manchester (v cheap), then Manchester to Stafford (can be as little as £5 single), you will prob need to check yourself though. Good Luck!!

Megatrain is not available between London and Manchester. £12.50 is the cheapest fare available between London and Stafford.
