This is now including London - Birmingham (Virgin) and London - Cambridge (ONE) - and I just saved £48 travelling to Manchester on Thursday...0 -

Follow links to the Bargain Berths deals for the overnight sleeper trains - bargain fares start at £19 for a one-way trip. A friend and I have just got a brilliant deal for a "day trip" to Edinburgh, £19 one way and £29 the other, so £48 each in total, that's enabling us to spend a whole day exploring Edinburgh PLUS seeing the show that's our main reason for going - and it means we only need to take one day off work and don't have any additional accommodation costs! Brilliant.
Do bear in mind that the Sleeper doesn't run on Saturday nights, though.Operation Get in Shape

I'm sure I've seen a thread somewhere previously on getting the best deal for a season ticket - I've just got a job offer in London, and I need to see how much I would need to spend on travel to see if its worthwhile... can anyone point me in the right direction?0

Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows of the cheapest way to get from Sheffield to Newcastle... I do mystery shopping/store audits and I choose newcastle because there is 5 PC Worlds within easy puplic transport routes. I currently get the Advance tickets at £21-£25 return.
There probably is not but just wondering if there is a cheaper way...
Also, found this lil trick for sheffield to leeds... get a south yorkshire 'Day Tripper for £4.50 or a weekly/monthly one' and get a 'West Yorkshire Bus and Rail Day Rover' for £4.50 available from barnsley or darton train station. if you can get these before you travel then you can stay on the train... then you are covered in all west and south yorkshire... for £9 a day! it costs over £15 for a return ticket.. and you can get any bus/train/tram you want!
Thanks... Keep up the great work guys! We’ve had to remove your signature because your opinion differs from ours. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why you can not have your own opinion on here and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Just had a look at this, it's a good deal. Also notice that they have special berths for manual wheelchair users and an escort goes free. Might be of use to someone.0 -
Just a wee one - need regular travel between London and Swansea that can be booked at around two weeks notice and can't find anything cheaper than the £35 rail fair which would kill be soon enough.....
This would be a weekend usualy travel out friday and back monday though weekday travel out then back is looking more likely.0 -
How about three bridges to birmingham international on Tuesday 31st October. I need a return ticket. I have found it for £26.00 but that seems expensive compared to the 'print your own' offer of £7 each way.. it's the connections that are bringing up my price.
Has anyone got a promotion code for that box in the booking page?
