On that basis would someone with the username ML-76 be Martin Lewis?0 -

I've just checked my Facebook account where I've got 78 facebook friends for people who have the same initials and 18 of them have the same initials as someone else in the same list of less than 80 which would make it almost a 1 in 4 chance so not a strange concidence at all.0 -

Strange, I searched 'London Bargain Offer' and '2505653487547' on Ebay and no such item was return?
Could it be that your Auction was against Ebay rules and was removed, as their very strict on things like that, I would have used Gumtree as their not to fussy and you have a better chance of a sale before your classified is pulled.Whoa! Train tickets and football tickets can't be resold under their respective terms and conditions and so any listed on eBay will be removed as soon as they spot them and anyone bidding on an item listed in the tickets category is warned of this prior to bidding.
I suspect they are Advance tickets which you can't get a refund on, neither can you change your journey plans. You can't for instance board at Crewe if the tickets are for Colwyn Bay and doing so could result in you having to buy a valid £60 ticket.0 -

Depends on the itinerary of the advance ticket, if it requires a change of train at Crewe, most N.Wales to London change at either Chester or Crewe, few direct these days and as Crewe has no ticket barriers, there's nothing stopping one catching the booked train from Crewe to London. That's incorrect information - ending your journey early is never allowed on an Advance. See http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/advance_conditions.htmlYou may not start, break and resume, or end your journey at any intermediate station except to change to/from connecting trains as shown on the ticket(s) or other valid travel itinerary.... Changing the time or date of travel: The difference between the price paid and cost of the next suitable fare for your journey is payable, plus a £10 administration fee per person, per single ticket for each change to a journey. If you change to a train on which a cheaper fare is available, the difference will not be refunded.
Crewe may not have ticket barriers like Chester or Liverpool Central but it does have platform ticket inspections at times so you can still get caught.0 -

Your wrong, you wouldn't be ending your journey early, with your example, your missing out the connrection from Colwyn bay to Crewe and you are catching the booked train from Crewe to London.Crewe may not have ticket barriers like Chester or Liverpool Central but it does have platform ticket inspections at times so you can still get caught.
Caught doing what wrong? You've got a valid advance ticket for a change of train at Crewe.Whoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0 -

You better tell Martin Lewis then. Every time he mentions Advance tickets he says travelling short is banned and has specifically mentioned Wales to London as an example where you can't start your journey at Chester even though it involves a change of train.
One, example, that’s recently been shut down is that while Chester to London peak time cheap fares weren't usually available, for some journeys starting in Wales, going via Chester, they were, meaning absurdly it was actually substantially cheaper to travel further.
Sounds good, but it's bannedCaught doing what wrong? You've got a valid advance ticket for a change of train at Crewe.
Yes the ticket is valid for a change of train at Crewe but if you're caught leaving the station you've got an invalid ticket so it's a £10 charge plus what ever the cheapest on-the-day London to Crewe fare is.
I think you're seriously confusing what's right and what you think you can get away with. What you're saying is virtually the same as saying it's legal to use someone else's unsecured wireless internet, when it isn't legal but you may get away with it.0
