Is there much in the way of Veggie food in the series cookbook or is it predominantly meat/fish/poultry orientated food? I don't mind stuff like mince, stew or some curries etc where I can swap the meat for a veggie equivalent but you can't exactly swap a big joint or chicken for anything! :rotfl: Is there non recipie info too? Thanks in advance...
There's no dedicated section, as far as I can see, on vegetarian meals. But there are vegetable meals, and there are vegetable bedrocks with meat-free tumbledowns (although some do include cheese, but I suppose the vegans would use vegan cheese).spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0 -

It's in the book, so if it can't be found on the website I'm sure one of us will be able to reproduce it and credit it and everything.spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0 -

thats the one...definately pasties they made just presumed cornish cos they were adding potato or something to it. could you post up a copy of it?
bakewell in a bag is because she didnt use a baking ring. it was one flat piece of pastry, once she put the fillings on she then scrunched up the sides to support it so it did look like a bag. thought it was a fab idea for those not partiucarly experienced in the kitchen. i would try it and i like the idea of not faffing around so much.0 -

this one lost me in the midst of talking about the programme and the cookery book (by the way is the book worth reading - I read cookery books for fun and loved the Valentine Warner ones!)

It's this week's family's house, fresh on the market. Apparently some of us are mortally offended that they should live in such a place. Personally, I'm not bothered. It is a nice house and they both worked hard to get it. Now they're making cuts, they're having to sell it. THEY'RE not getting precious about it so I don't know why anyone else is. It's got eff all to do with anyone else.
Sorry, bit of a rant there, but this picking on the family is starting to annoy me and smacks of petty jealousy.
Ahem, anyway ... it's a nice book, has a nice feel to it, is in full colour (apart from a couple of "arty" shots of the authors). It has recipes in with pictures of all, and it has tips and other suggestions. If I read cookery books for pleasure, I'd still buy it.spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0
