Who gives first feedback?

Hello!
I have sold some stuff on e-bay. The buyers have paid and received their items (I assume as I sent them out a couple of weeks ago).
None of them have left feedback for me yet and I was wondering who is meant to leave feedback first?
I am worried about leaving feedback as soon as they pay in case I have any problems with them after I have sent the item (e.g. them claiming to have never received it).
I would prefer to leave feedback once they have left it or have contacted me to say that they received the item and are happy or not.
What do you do? What is best?
Cheers.

It is best to ignore feedback altogether, it is not compulsory. Forget about it, if buyer had a problem you would soon hear about it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. A soolin says dont worry about it. If they had a problem you would know. I leave buyer feedback immediately on receipt of payment as buyer feedback is a bit pointless anyway so leaving feedback doesnt effect any possible disputes.
It also means I remember to do it. A lot of sellers wait until the buyer leaves feedback before they do. People can get very anal about it, Just do what works and your happy with and dont worry too much about it0 -
Again, feedback isn't really important but I tend to wait about two weeks, then I leave it, whether or not the buyer has.Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0

I leave feedback as soon as the item has been paid for, people have always been quick to reciprocate. If I buy an item and the seller doesn't leave feedback first then I won't leave feedback. Yes it might seem petty but I'm a bit fed up of some sellers thinking that they are superior to buyers!0

Thanks for all of your comments! I think I will wait until it has been two weeks and then I will leave feed back for all my buyers!

As a Seller I leave feedback once the buyer has left for me, then I know they have received the item.
As a buyer I leave once I have the item.
If feedback is not left, it's not left. Some people don't bother, their choice.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -

From my own point of view, since I can only leave a positive, I'd rather give them to customers who deserve them.
Theres nothing worse than giving a glowing positive blob to somebody who turns our to be a royal pain in the hoop. As many peoples grandmother used to say, "if you can't say anything nice, say nowt".
Besides, as it's voluntary, and not compulsary, I believe it is only polite to leave feedback for those customers who take the time to rate my service.
Feedback doesn't pay the bills, it does not form a vital part of the transaction process and does not make anyone a better person, so does it really matter?<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
