I lost my perfect feedback for trying too hard to please

Must admit, with sensitive skin, I would hate to receive something that smelt strongly of perfume (sorry!).They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

Lots of perfumes make me sneeze quite violently, which can be quite amusing!
Also, if a guy is buying something for his g/f, and it turns up smelling of perfume, he'd probably end up getting a slap...
It's a nice idea, but probably not for everyone!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Strong smelling washing powder is bad enough...0

Yes, it's a nice idea, but I suppose perfume is a very personal thing.
When I began selling I always used to wrap in tissue - Christmassy at Christmas, pink if it was little girls things (my dds little worn, kept for 'best' dresses etc. But I stopped because it did not seem to get any response or comment and I thought perhaps it was a bit OTT - especially considering the state of packaging of some of the things i buy!!...0 -
To be honest I thinks it's horrible when people do this.. I had to throw out a shirt I bought because I washed it several times and couldn't get the smell of floral perfume out..
I also received an item last week that had a smelly sheet in it, washed twice but still smells a bit.
Its understandable people dont like it, I prefer the smell of my own tropical comfort fabric conditioner.
What you have to remember is not everyone has the same taste in perfumes as you at the end of the day.0 -
It's a lovely thought, and it's good to know you take care over your presentation, but as people have already said it's not to everyone's taste and some people have problems with asthsma and allergies. I think it's even more sad that people won't send sweets because they're scared of being sued, I'd love to find sweeties in my eBay packages! It's just another indication of the kind of world we live in I guess, it's not unimaginable that someone would start a lawsuit over something like that. I've received little sticker sheets and cute pencils and things as little gifts in packages before, maybe it's worth thinking of something like that? You could buy loads in bulk, and they are a really nice touch, always gives me a big smile to have extra things included when you're not expecting it.

i think its a really nice gesture, but, if other people like myself are allergic to things like perfume it can be a nightmare no matter how nice it smells, some perfumes bring me out in a rash even just from holding the bottle, other times i have puffy, streaming and itchy eyes then theres the sneezing fits, so bad i wouldnt be able to see the item in the package0

When I sell kids items I put in sticker sheets or little wooden bookmarks I bought in the ELC sale.I have some of those fluffy topped dolphin/piggy pens etc for when I sell something for maybe an older girl."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -
I think its a really nice touch when someone wraps up the parcel in coloured tissue paper. Its like opening a birthday present.
I remeber I bought some stickers & the lady put in handmade bookmarks & paper cutouts in with the parcel. It was such a lovely surprise especially as I was having a really horrible week.
I can see this happening less & less especially as new free P&P rules come in. Its only a matter of time that clothing will come under free P&P0 -
What a lovley idea
I wrap my things in pink tissue paper and its nice to make a effort! I know when i recieve something and its wrapped with effort it makes me feel a little bit more special that someone has made that effort to make sure its arrives nice and im pleased
