F Elephant the sickness is supposed to be a very good sign as after 3 miscarriages when i had DD1 I was sick all day every day for 42 weeks I weighed less at full term than before i was pregnant my midwife told me that it showed i had very strong pregnancy hormones:D so sounds like all is going well for you

Hugs to all who need them sounds like a few bugs are doing the rounds

Thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts. OH says not to worry about the licence, but I'm the worrying kind.
On the OS side, for tea I am making a kind-of-paella. It's kind-off because I don't think I have any of the right kind of rice, so it's going to be done with basmati, and I think I might be out of saffron too. But I have prawns (need to be defrosted) and the rest of Sunday's chicken to put into it, and also some proper peas and broad beans to provide a certain amount of vegetable matter. It'll be nice even if it's not very authentic.
Everyone else will be home soon so the peace and quiet is almost over - it's not been the most productive day, I was writing a time-consuming reference for a student with a complicated history, and I need to work on an abstract for a conference. I won't be able to go - I don't think my department can afford New Zealand in December - but I can submit it somewhere else as well, and you never know! It would be a short trip - fly for 2 days, 3 days there and then straight back - but I have short legs so the flight's not too bad. And I'd get to catch up with friends. I've been busy doing my MSE stuff working out how much it will cost but there is only so much you can do to cut the price of a 28 hour flight.Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000 -

Bitsy Bean, glad the settling in session went well.
I am not very happy at the vets, they have managed to leave a root in when removing all my cats teeth, so she has to go in for yet another op next week.. They've put it down as free of charge (not that it effects me, its the RSPCA who pays), but the point is the poor puddy cat will have to go under anaeasthetic for the 3rd time in 2 months to do with her teeth.
Anyway, glad I got that rant out the way.
Halight, glad the twins are happy even if they are snotty!!0 -

Ohh 'morning' sickness I don't envy you. I used toget it all day too. I couldn't cook in the evenings as the smell would make me gagg. Also every morning they had ads for chicken tonight with DD and pop tarts with DS and I still can't even think about either of them without gipping, uggh.
Thanks Mioliere and pink winged - tried charity shops, but a lot take quite a while to process the forms, he is currently filing in a form for RSPCA.0
