Thanks hun :D, if you ever fancy a game give me a shout,

Morning all, the sky looked nice and bright when I got up this morning, but has clouded over a bit now , typical as I have a load of towels in the wm.

Yesterday I came over all funny :o, felt soooo hot, sore throat, bad tummy etc, had a really early night, and now feel fine  not sure what all that was about. Glad it was not swine flu though.

Not sure what is for tea today, I cooked a chicken yesterday while the oven was on, so it will be something chickiney, will freeze the rest for next week.

Usual tidy round this morning, and I MUST do an online shop, will get the washing out too.

Bitsy, good luck for today xx

    Have good days all xx

Got 1 1/2 loads of washing out with no room left for the 1/2 still to go + I have another load in. I really didn't think that the new machine would do so much more washing. I am going to have to put more lines up and get more pegs. Logic says, why you aren't going to do any more washing than you used to, but I know I will!

More than 3 lines is excessive though, isn't it?

I haven't a clue what is for dinner today, possibly sausages, maybe sausage and pasta.

DS is looking for charity work for the hols, but a lot are already taken and those that aren't take ages to process, he is a bit fed up and bored and just wants to help! He went to the library where a rep of the local volunteering organisation had a drop in and every thing she mentioned was full - goodness knows what will happen for his gold D of E. Any pointers gratefully received. He was looking for a part time job too ( also to continue next year whilst he does his A's), but he is a bit half hearted! He is getting nervous about his GCSE exam results already, they are very late this year with only 2 working days between exam results and starting at sixth from, I think they are a whole week later than last year (if memory serves).

I don't usually post on the Daily, but needed to share nerves with someone safe! OH works for Lloyds/TSB/HBOS and today he will find out whether he still has a job. His meeting is at 10.30. The signs are good, but ... We can manage if he doesn't, though I'd find it hard having him doing the cooking - he kind of lost the knack if he ever had it - but he'd get quite depressed.

In the meantime, I need to (a) get some work-work done (b) write lists for packing for going on holiday on Saturday (c) put some clean clothes away and a washing on, and (d) get dressed. Possibly not in that order!

hugs for you and yours kunekune - hope everything goes well today :)

Well, I've been on the phone to the delivery office who kept picking up and putting down the phone rather than answering me. So I called CS, who were great. I am just about to write a nice letter to them about the advisor I spoke to, who was wonderful and very competant. I will post it when I go to collect my packet.

More coffee first :) I am trying to replace the diet coke I drink in the mornings (I know, I know...). When I have done that I will work on stopping the cookies for breakfast :) I eat far too much rubbish because I am running about too much :) Must try harder, but I really don't have time :)

  • 'Morning all!

Not had a chance to catch up with the w/e & yesterday's thread yet, but thought I'd pop in today before it gets too mad here!
Supposed to be back to 'business as usual' in work as my 'at risk' status has been 'suspended' (finally someone decided that the proper procedures had not actually been followed, and that my two colleagues and I were not going to just 'lie down and take it'! I think they realised that we WILL take it all the way to a tribunal if necessary....). Sure it is just a delay to the inevitable - but I look at it as every day's delay is another day they have to pay my salary!

'Morning sickness' has kicked in with a vengeance - but I seem to be getting it in the afternoons and not the mornings! It starts about 2.30 - 3.00pm and goes on for a couple of hours, but I am not too upset as I am looking at it as a positive sign that the PG is progressing!

Kunekuen - hope your DH is safe - this redundnacy lark is so stressful (and I've been though it 3 times already!).
Celyn - hope you find your missing post - very frustrating!
Halight - hope twins are better soon.
Donny-gal - hope your 'neighbour' probs get sorted, and that you have a good trip later in the week.
    Bitsy - good luck.

(((HUGS))) to all in need/want of one!

Thanks for the hugs. Much appreciated, I was more stressed than I could admit to OH.

But it's good news - his 'job application' was successful. It's been a long year - yes, it really is nearly a year now since this all started. During that year, he had his Parkinsons diagnosis and had to move to working 4 days and now 3 (short days Mon-Tues, Wed off and short days Thurs-Fri). Fortunately, I work too, and we are ok financially - in fact, we bought a house a few months ago and a car (a 2001 BMW!!!!) yesterday. But redundancy would have long term implications as OH wouldn't get another job, and 49 is too young to retire, really. We need him to work as long as possible in order to build up a pension. And the cheap staff mortgage is definitely worth it.

Fairy Elephant - that's quite a common pattern for 'morning sickness', it may be that your blood sugar levels are dropping by then, do you have a good lunch? I found my worst times were always between 4 & 6, and the best thing was to eat regularly, and avoid 'quick fixes' like chocolate.

Argghhh. I knew something would go wrong.

OH sent off his licence for a change of address nearly 2 months ago. He sent the wrong piece of paper, couldn't find the right one, and then they had to deal with it as a lost licence. He has now had a letter saying he has to do a medical questionnaire - as "our records show that you previously gave details of a medical condition". That is true: he told them in October, and in November he was issued with a 3 year licence. And now they are going to go through it all AGAIN???? At least it arrived today - if it was three days later, he'd have failed to respond within 21 days and had his licence revoked altogether!

    Good morning all :D

Two loads of washing fluttering on the line, bathroom scrubbed to within an inch of its life, and just about to attack the bedrooms. Might just take a coffee outside first ;) I need to reposition some of my veggies growing in pots. I've had a fair few beans off the dwarf french beans, but they seem to be a bit tardy with more flowers and growth at the moment. I think they need a touch more sun than they're getting. Difficult with a NE facing garden of rather small proportions :rotfl:Sausage puttanesca with rice for dinner tonight, from the freezer so easy peasy :D

DG my DH would love a Morgan. It's a standing joke that when we win the lottery he's having one:rolleyes: We seemed to see loads last time we were in Canada a couple of months ago. I want a cream one, he's boring and wants British racing green :p Doesn't really matter does it? :rotfl:

FE, sorry you are having morning sickness, but even though it's rotten and can last all day for some, I believe the latest research does confirm that it's a good sign of a nicely established pregnancy. Dry biscuits or toast helped each time with my four

Hope you all have something nice in your day, CM x

Hi everyone. Late for me because we overslept so I've had a rushed morning, and I also had to get to the shops quickly, because the fresh milk here sells out and doesn't get restocked. The French seem to live on long-life milk, which is OK in an emergency but we like the 'real' stuff!

Donny - that's a worry with the travellers, isn't it? I hope they don't get their way. Have a good week away.

Halight - hope the twins start to improve soon.

    Congratulations Redruby!

Kunekune - good luck to your DH. Hope he has good news on the work front.

Patchwork cat - perhaps your DS could ask at the local hospital if they want voluntary help or, if you have a Blue Cross animal rescue centre nearby, they might be glad of help. It's great that he wants to do charity work, but frustrating if he can't get any. Also, ask around the charity shops, too.

Well, I should be getting on with things. Oh, OS - dinner tonight is an easy spaghetti bolognaise, with yet more plum crumble for pudding. It's the third day for the crumble but DH likes it so much he says he'd have it every day!

    See you all later.

    Morning all.

I started reading the thread, and one or two people mentioned it being good drying weather - so I thought I'd better go and wash the dress that has to be done by hand and get it outside dark mutterings about MSE-ers who make me feel guilty.

Been getting my accounts all sorted out, so that I know precisely where to take the money from to pay for the new sofa and bed. I have a fear of debt that borders on being a phobia, so I'm glad to have that all sorted - I have an "earmarked" section on my spreadsheet for just such things.

We skived off the CAMRA branch meeting again last night - I just can't be bothered lately, and so many of the pubs they meet in don't have decent wheelchair access anyway. Spent the evening playing Neverwinter Nights 2 on the PC.;) Well, we have to have some fun time, don't we?:D

Mr LW found a film on TV he wants to see, so I've taped it so that we can fast-forward through the adverts.

Right, think I'll go and get my lunchtime cheese roll (HM of course:D) then I ought to get on with something useful.

((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today.

If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
