I am sure this has been asked before. But what do you do!!!!!!
I don't rinse my dishes after I wash them, and I have never had a soapy taste off them, But are you supposed to rinse them?

I never do I just leave them to drain til dry. I always think of it as a waste of water to rinse them. Maybe that's just me but I've never had a soapy taste either.0

Don't know if you are supposed to rinse, but I do if I'm leaving them to drain, but not usually if I'm drying with a teatowel. Don't ask me how I've come to that practice, I haven't a clue

Never rinsed, never occured to me that I should and everything tastes fine. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I never have either, but when my sis-in-law stays she always rince's them individually with hot water so I try to get the washing up done before she gets to the kitchen as I would run out of hot water .She is such a dear in other respects I don't have the heart to moan at her bless her.0

me neither.
What I do do though is sluice the plates before putting them in the washing up water. And I wash 'cleanest' first IYSWIM

I dont rinse, but my OH has to wash each individual item in running hot water and washing up liquid and then rinses it! Drives me mad.Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0

I'm inbetween rinsing and not
I fill the sink with a tiny bit of warm soapy water and wash all the glasses and cups first, then rinse them under the hot water... which fills the sink enough for the rest of the dishes. I leave the rest of the dishes soapy to drip dry. Never had a soapy taste on plates but I have once on a cup, maybe thats why I rinse themEven if you stumble, you're still moving forward.0 -
This is a huge pet peeve of mine! I ALWAYS rinse. You wouldn't put shampoo in your hair and then get out of the shower, so why not rinse your dishes?0
