Vodafone complaint - Google - scam?

After discussion, this is NOT a scam. Please ignore the thread. Thanks.

I'm having problems with my phone and typed in 'Vodafone compaint' on google. This gives a 'sponsored site' at position 1. Clicking on this link appears to take you to a scam web site to enter your email and mobile number! Has anyone else come across this?

    I just tried it.

The sponsored site was the Vodafone website with a complaints page....?

I don't understand what you were expecting to get from your search.

Means nothing TBH....the 2008 could have been the campaign date & the page hasnt needed an update since

all it asks for is Mobile No & Email add....not exactly ID fraud material is it really?

    hi robt

The link appears to be a genuine Vodafone link - but I'm not so sure. For example, it has copyright 2008 at the bottom of the page ... whereas all other Vodafone pages have 2009. Also, how can the customer services Director possibly read and deal with everyone of the complaints?

I'm very sceptical. It doesn't look right and have reported to Google.

It doesn't say she will deal with all complaints. It says it will be forwarded to someone who will.

It is a page on the Vodafone website at a subdomain called 'campaigns' - indicating that it is a marketing/advertising page within the Vodafone website.

If you are that bothered, why not just go to the Vodafone website and follow the procedures set out?

Sorry - didn't mean to irritate, but:

I'm not talking about vodafone.co.uk but vodafone.co.uk with a \complaints after it - try that and it won't work - says invalid link.

It may be my first post, but I have lots of experience of identifying scams - and this one stinks!

... and that 2008 at the bottom, also the quality of the web page - something just doesn't add up.

    Thank you.

And apparently also spotting things which are not scams and reporting them to Google.
