Really Cheap Games @ PC World (merged)

I went to the cannock store and they had sold out but they also only knew about the deals once I had told them and they checked on the computer system. The guy didnt mention that as soon as these deals 'come in' that there was a guy in the warehouse that would buy the lot!

I also went to the new osscot store and they were not very helpful just said that the prices were as displayed, the cheapest been £19.99!

Anyone had any sucess in the West Mids / Staffs area?

Tried Dixons in the Bullring, Birmingham to no avail on Tuesday. Looks like they are refitting where the massive software section is and it's currently now downstairs with just chart titles and a few others on show. Couldn't be bothered to ask as I was short on time.

went to PC World in Norwich this morning, and they only had one PS2 title on the shelf...XIII, went to price check - came up as £4.95, better than the advertised £39.99 on the cover, so asked to have one, CS looked 5 times and couldn't find it in stockroom, so no luck there

What ps2 games did any epeople buy that they dont want? All the stores i have tried have none. Then again i suppose there would be no point in selling to me as ebay will fetch more , but if you are felling kind drop me a pm

I went looking for these as my son has just got a playstation. Dixons knew nothing, scanned a few all full price. PC world said they did have some but had all been bought by staff members.

Currys said their manager has an agreement with a market trader and sells them all to him for personal deals on DVDs!!! :mad:

I tried Curry's at York few days ago, had Return to Castle Wolstenstien on XBOX case which I knew was 49p, unforntunately when they went to get the disk it wasn't there, the CS pointed out before she even looked in the draw to find the disk that the staff were on to the offer and had cleared them all out. :mad: :mad: :mad:

I can't see the point of curry's as a group letting there staff buy all the stuff, why not advertise the cheap games offer to get customers through the door with the potential for looking/buying other products in the process. No wonder they have to sell stuff off for nothing !

It's funny, some places you go and they're more than happy to search through the whole drawer for you, others they just say no straight away. Happily, I seem to have found more of the former. 3 more today, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Conflict Desert Storm and the Hobbit. Who was it posted earlier and said they wanted one for their kids?
