Anyone any idea if there are any Game Cube games in the cheap games?
Although I could get as many as I can and trade them in somewhere, but that seems like an awful lot of work for a game.
  • The dixons group discontinued the gamecube quite a while ago. You may find the odd game in the bargain bins but more than likely not.

P.S. I've a copy of the Hobbit if anyone wants to swap it for something more interesting (Ninja Gaiden or Panzer Dragoon Oorta would be nice). PM me if interested.

The PCW I got MP2 from had it marked up as £4.97 reduced to £2.97 (and were BOGOF as well)

Nice to see I'm up to 12 thanks's from the 12000 thread views now :)

217019 is the code for Waynes World 2 DVD, picked it up from Bracknell Currys today.

Just returned from Curry's Cwmbran store where was told that purchase of any PS2 game entitled you to purchase of 'Killzone' for 1p.
In other words find a 47p game and pay only 48p in total.

Yes I think the managers are doing some fairly good specials in some stores, but overruling the discounted prices where they do so.

1p for Killzone is good, I hear thats a very good game.

Anyone else had any luck getting a list of reduced games from DSG staff? We're still far too short on PS2 games for the list, I would guess there are a similar number reduced as there are Xbox games...

    I can add these though:
    for PS2
    TIF*2002 (Total International Football?) 0.47 591848
    Xbox
    Capcom VS SNK: EO 2 0.47 853825

Awesome, just got £15 credit in gamestation for 4 games that cost me 47p each :) Combines very nicely with their current BOGOF preowned DVD sale.

They're still out there people, get hunting. Apparently some of the star wars games trade for £8 each!

4 more today from Reading Currys and Dixons, both places saying they'd been cleared out by people already, guess it's just down to how much of the list they had or could find.

Was joking with some of the staff when the other guy went off to find a couple more of them, that he'd come back saying "I'm afraid I can't find them" (then buy them himself later) and surprise, surprise...
Not so good when you can't look over their shoulder and see what they've got that's not out on display.

Hokers, what stores have you been to? (just so I don't cover your footsteps)

& whats your technique for getting them to print a stock list (or do you just go in clutching your list of codes and ask them nicely to go through them)

    Quite a few.

    Guildford PCW/Dixons/Currys
    Woking Dixons/Currys
    Camberley Dixons
    Staines Currys/PCW
    Farnborough Curry/PCW
    Reading Currys *2/Dixons/PWC
    Basingstoke PCW/Currys
    Weybridge Currys
    West Drayton Currys
    Hayes Currys

Probably more I can't think of now, but as many as are in range of me certainly. I usually find one on the shelf, ask them to check the price, then ask if they can check if any others are cheap. The ones who can work the system can usually do it easily, but quite a few don't bother, and just say there are no more. Depending on how pleasant you are to them, they might or might not check for you.

I called the CS line yesterday, and there are still about 30 stores showing stock of Jedi Academy, KOTOR, RTCW etc, so there are still loads out there.
  • Hi Hokers, thanks for the list you've kindly provided. I've tried a couple of Currys store near me but no luck...

I've also tried ringing the CS line (the 0500 number) a few times and they said that they can't do a search for any product codes for me - is there a different phone number for this particular service?

    cheers, Steve.
