Think twice? He never thinks full stop bless him :rotfl:
I'm quietly hopeful as if it was cancer the calcium shouldn't have dropped (even if it's still slightly high) and he has improved in both weight and no longer anemic... It COULD still be cancer but I'm going to choose to believe it was an icky mouse given I know how daft he is... My mate was very surprised to see how much he'd improved, she honestly thought it was cancer - apparently it usually is - as it's very rare to come across a cat that has been poisoned by eating a mouse which has been poisoned with a particular poison...
I'll let you all know what they say on Thursday when the results come back :)

Well obviously being a black cat was lucky for Hugin this time round! The tests have come back and he's in the clear for cancer and also any anomoly of the parathyroid gland - so we're left with rat/mouse poison, eating a particular type of grass or idiosyncratic... We're going to retest him in 4 weeks time to check that his results are normal but given the nature of the cat I am now confident he's eaten a poisoned mouse the daft doughnut!

So thanks all for the healing thoughts! :D

Well done Hugin and to Mrs Tine for getting his weight up. I'm sure all the loving care saved him.
