T-Mobile coverage, can I get out of contract early due to NO coverage at all?

I was with t-Mobile last year and moved later that year to an area that T-Mobile just didn't cover. I called and was brushed off, but I wrote a letter to their HQ to express my dissatisfaction.
I set out the unreasonableness of the situation, and it was accepted. I didn't buy a phone with them though, so that may have been an issue.
I seem to recall a chap winning a case against Orange for lack of signal, just a few months ago I believe. So it can be done, if you act reasonably and explain the situation. Given the length of time, however, I must say that it's a little unusual to only have copped on now and dealt with it.Any advice given is done so purely on the basis that it be taken as guidance and not a definitive answer to a question. If you are uncertain or confused, always consult your own legal representative.0
