I'm a control freak in real life but I've found that the OH has made most of the decisions - I'm like opposite to the Bridezilla!I miss using my infinite coupons at Tesco!
2010 was the worst year ever
But 2011 so far has been a lot of fun! :j

On the subject of guests dresses etc, just seen some wedding photos on Facebook (my flowergirl was a flowergirl for them also) and the brides mother turned up in an ivory dress!!!!! Can you imagine that, she had an inverted bridesmaid dress, so hers was ivory with a pink band rather than pink with an ivory band! If I was the bride I would have gone ballistic, sent her home, and made her change before the photos. I don't have any bridezilla in me, but surely, everyone knows that an ivory bridesmaid dress is NOT acceptable for a wedding?0

I never considered myself to be Bridezilla-sh at all
I done most of the stuff myself, so didn't have anyone else to have a go at, and even when my cake wasn't ready in time, I didn't lose the plot.
I think the term Bridezilla can be bandied about rather easily, very few women are actually that stroppy that they could be described as one. We all have our 'little moments' but most of us leave the foot stamping and tantrums to the toddlers lolCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Gosh... you're all very understanding, I'm not getting married and probably never will be (you'll understand why by the end of this post) but if I was I'd be the biggest bridezilla
Yes I'd be offended if people wore white
Yes I'll be choosing my bridesmaids, outfits, hair, shoes and acessories
Yes I'd expect cards, probably not gifts cause there is too many people out there with bad taste
My closest girlfriends will be expected to attend my hen party wherever I chose it to be
I will be grabbing people to pose for hours on end for photo's and no I will not feed them until I say that we're done
I would order people up to dance at my reception and they would have a good time whether they liked it or not
Woe betide anyone who got too drunk
I'd probably get annoy almost everybody with my unreasonable expectations from them (most likely person is my mum as she would bend over backwards to help) and then cry because they don't know the pressure I'm under
And finally the day of course would be all about [STRIKE]Me[/STRIKE] the love shared between my partner and I
Now just to find a potential husband... what do you mean good luck0 -

what's the problem with people wearing white to the wedding?! I'm genuinely confused - have never heard of that before but a few people on here seem to be quite against the idea!
(surely it's pretty obvious who the bride is!)

It's manners - white is always the colour of the bride, sometimes she might not be wearing a traditional dress (my step mum wore a white suit). So other guests should avoid wearing the "bridal" colour. (Of course, not every bride is wearing white, but at a wedding it is still a bridal colour and should be avoided)
The same goes for an all black ensemble - as black is traditionally worn at funerals, you should avoid setting a somber mood with your outfitI love surprises!0 -
I'm getting a bit bridezilla now as I think people are taking too long to RSVP!! I expect them to run out the day they got the invite, fill it in and post it then and there lol!! OH thinks I need to chill!!

You mean you don't hand it to them personally with a pen and then wait hand on hip, foot tapping until they have filled it in... :rotfl::rotfl:0
