I'm not happy. I went into town and looked at the sales, thinking 'I need new clothes because mine are all too big now, but there's no point getting any because they'll be too big too in a few months'. Then got home with new scales to find I've somehow put nearly all of the weight back on. Even though my clothes are too big now and I'm looking a lot slimmer. So I'm !!!!ed off about that. Looks like I need to look again at my diet, although I'm not sure what else I can do to make it healthier. Maybe swap soft fruit for celery or something (yuk).

All women seem to have this obsession with the weight number, and it blinds them to the realities.

    There are two options:
    1. Your new scales weigh differently to your old ones
    2. You have put on muscle instead of fat

You're smaller - that's good. Whatever number your scales put out is irrelevant.

Totally agree with Z Ames, it's about how you feel and how your clothes fit!
I NEVER weigh myself becaus it's so counterproductive with the fluctuations.
Don't be a slave to the scales, go by how you feel!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

    Afternoon all!

Scales are obviously wrong. Ignore them. If you feel and look slimmer your diet is working.

And my sister has changed her mind about coming round here next week to help with the housework, it was supposed to be a big push with me, her and ex to get it in a state where I can get the new furniture in, and then keep up to the housework on my own. Ex was already complaining about having to clear up 'my' mess (what the hell does he think he gets carer's allowance for?!) and now she's not coming. So I'll have to keep chipping away at it and hope I don't get any more colds or anything to let it slide backwards.

    Sorry to moan.[/QU

Sounds like the next DFW job after BB's garden!

    Morning by the way!

I will ignore the scales then! Although I can just ignore what the actual number is and see if it's getting smaller, which is all I need to know really. thank you for pointing out the obvious!

    How's Atlanta Bookie?
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

You are are so right Maz-I won't hold a grudge, I've said my piece,he's absolutely clear how I felt about it and he's promised to think about what I said and "take it on board" ...we'll see...and you're right Maz, he is fundamentally a good man, just tries to do too much in too little time-and we as a family suffer for it. Boy-was I angry..I don't think he's ever seen me like that-I was raging down the phone line-he was stunned into silence! Keep u posted...
Looks like you n Erin settling in well, and sounds promising with runnerman...all I would say is,take it slowly..out of the frying pan and all that...

Just had our breakfast by the pool. About 80 already but storms forecast later.
Went swimming at midnight last nite.
