Think so Bookie, thanks for asking..had major barney on phone with DH as he failed to get back here in time for a party we were going to.He said he knew nothing about it even though the invite had been sitting there since May, I had spoken about it several times etc etc..so I had to go alone and explain to everyone that no, he wasn't working, but no he wasn't here either...Debt-free...and staying that way...0

I've just had to turn down a cheap holiday in Canada
My sister and my niece have had Canadian citizenship granted and are waiting for passports. She's found a school for my niece and she's found somewhere to live. She had a job at a dental practice whilst over there last week and so just needs to get that or a job.
My family were planning to go in October, but with my sister moving mid September, there is a spare ticket. Unfortunately I'm committed to teaching and nobody in my department is allowed time off in September due to it being start of term. Oh well......
I am surprised it seems to have suddenly all come together - she must have done lots of sorting out whilst there over the last 2 weeks.
Grimsby or Toronto...........not much choice really :rotfl:"Stay Wonky":D

Ames, you should only weigh yourself once a week, at the same time of day, as your weight can fluctuate during the day.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!DFW Long Hauler Supporter No 1500

Oh BB, that's really carp.
Scaredy, I was told to only weigh myself once a month, but since the clothes were so baggy I decided to sneak a look. I usually do it at the same time each day, as soon as I get up, today it was lunch time though. I'll wait a few weeks and then see again, at least I'll know whether it's gone up or down even if I don't trust the numbers.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
I'd love to visit Canada BB - but if she's going to be living over there then plenty of time for holidays in years to come.
Ames - Ditch the scales - if your clothes are falling down - you've lost weight. :j
Bookie - midnight swims sound blissfull....have you fully relaxed?
DH has just taken DD's to see HP, I'm really not that fussed about it so opted for the 3 hours peace and quite of being home alone. It's lovely to have DD's back but with DH being off for 5 weeks now, tempers got a little bit frayed this morning.....needless to say we're both feeling the relief of having a good shout at each other.....sometimes it's just what you need to clear the air.
I'm off for a wickedly hot, deep, bubbly bath with a glass of wine (yes at this time of day) and a good book....followed by egg and chips for tea."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
that's true Pooky. I don't think I could afford it at the moment anyway - well, I know I couldn't afford it!!!

...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
