Redruby - colour takes really well on blond hair, even a wash in and wash out one will last longer than usual if she is very blond, but even so should still be gone by September! A permanent one will leave her hair that colour till it grows out, so unless she has short hair she would be red and blond for quite a while as it grew! At least if she tries a wash in and wash out one then she can see whether she likes it before doing anythng permanent! And do ensure you give her lots of old towels, a wash out colour will gradually keep leaching out each time she washes her hair and will dye your towels!
nic1lou2 - wow then she is gonna be really really hot out there! she's just texted me some pics of the beach, looks fab and she's spent the day snorkelling - I'm not jealous at all, much! She has loads of sun lotion, was reduced in boots and at work so I stocked up in the hopes of a hot summer, I threw plenty in her case as well as lots of aftersun!
I've been rather industrious and done all oh's ironing for him, he's always doing diy stuff for me, so thought I'd do something he hates doing himself, besides I actually like ironing, had the radio on and a glass of wine, lovely! Did follow it with a little nap however!
BBQ has been replaced by a M&S meal deal, and then a night out with friends, just need to decide on trousers or a dress, decisions decisions! Off to paint my nails now, have a lovely evening all xx

Helllllooooo :hello: I'm back.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes. :A
Had a lovely birthday but it felt weird being away from home all day.Arran was as lovely as ever and I was very OS and moneysaving and bought the girls' teachers their Christmas presents in the bargain bucket at Arran Aromatics.
Had a picnic on the beach and pootled about the Island. Yes and the sun shone all day and today too. Then FIL picked up the girlies in the port and OH took me for a meal. Have had a lazy day reading a book in the hammock in MIL's garden watching the red quirrels in the tree above me.
Tea has just been some crusty bread, Arran cheese and salad from the garden.
Have tried to rememember everything from yesterday's thread but there seemed to be something fishy about it.;):rotfl:

Evening all,
PP....hope that you are feeling better now that you are home..
No rain here to-day but not very warm, windy and overcast.
House seems very quiet without the girls....they are all chatterboxes so they are missed
MSD...Hope that you are ok,
Pink....nice to see you, hope that you enjoyed your barbecue.
HM pizza for dinner here, turned out really well....had a whole melon afterwards for pudding...really sweet. Made bread for us and some gluten-free for DD3...she is doing very well on her diet but homeopath feels that most of her problems are from mercury in her tooth fillings, so she is really going to have to get them redone....costs over €2000 so she is trying to avoid it....might offer her the money on a long-term interest free loan as who knows what harm is being done to her general well being.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend
Hugs to all in need or want

Careful if it is a permanent colour. I have been dyeing my hair red most of my life and prefer to use semi perm but these are very hard to find in the reds i like. Every time I find one I like they discontinue it.(baffles me the amount of browns out there. I dye my hair bcos its brown n boring lol)
Last time I accidentally perm dyed it.My hairdresser years ago told me that she wouldnt dye my hair as it would only go orangey and fade - she used to just tell me to use a home one and leave it on for about an hr instead of 20 mins)and she was right. It has a gingery tone now that it's faded out that I am not keen on.What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0
