For myself, I have been looking at poems and sayings. There is one I like by Joyce Grenfell that is short and to the point and mentions laughter and another by Hilaire Belloc about friendship which was used at the time when Carol left Countdown.0 -
But don't feel obligated to play music at a funeral anyway.
Music had never played an important part in my mother's life, and she was certainly not religious, so we dispensed with that aspect altogether. It went very well.0 -
The Funeral Directors trade magazine regularly reports the Top Twenty of music played at funerals.: My Way, Angels, etc.
I quite fancy Vera Lynn belting out We'll Meet Again to frighten the wits out of anyone at my funeral.....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
