TC bathroom sanitary ware or Aquabliss?

  • Just found this post a few weeks ago when scouring the web for reviews on bathroom companys before purchasing my bathroom suite.

I found the posts all very useful so thank you to the original poster.

I telephoned aquabliss before purchasing for a bit of advice, chose my items and i couldn't be happier. I also received my items on a next day service as all the items were in stock which I found quite suprising as everyone else had ran out of the paticular toilet I chose.

In terms of quality it beats everything B and Q had to offer and the seat is on a par with villeroy and boch if not better in my own opinion.

Most importantly I saved a lot of money as aquabliss were the cheapest on the web for like for like products
  • Hi all,
I have just finished upgrading 3 bath/showerooms (almost finished if the final part of our order would ever arrive :(

And I just feel I have to let people know what terrible service I have gotten. We bought with Aquabliss (because they had all the items in stock) and were told delivery would day 5-7 days. It took 3 weeks, for half the order to arrive, another week for another few items - some broken, and I am still waiting 10 weeks since the original order for the final piece (a bath panel). This has meant builders waiting around and now having to call back if the piece ever shows up.

I have to say I have found aquabliss to have awful customer service and I could never recommend them!!! Use someone else!

For anyone looking to get a bathroom, I have just finished mine after a loooong time saving up to do it!

I bought the stuff from all over the place, the shower and taps came from bathrooms 365ltd, an on line store, great customer service and very fast delivery, the bath and shower from Plumbworld, really good prices, and apart from some issues with the delivery, it wasn't their fault but Yodels, the products are fine, not the most expensive but they look good now fitted and so far are working well.

The sink and loo came from Bathroom Heaven, I am lucky to have a showroom fairly close to me so could pick up the items rather than have to pay for delivery. The lady in the shop was great, really knew her stuff and wasn't at all pushy even though I went back 3 times before I finally decided on the style I wanted! I went for the Pura bathrooms Artes design.

I went with Plumbworld as my nextdoor neighbour used them and had good service and has the same shower enclosure I went for so it was good to see it in 'real life' first, although it's odd dealing with them as it's all by email.

I was on a very tight budget but the guy who installed the bathroom wasn't interested in doing a B&Q cheapie as he just hates the fact that they are such bad quality, so rather than have my new bathroom 6 months ago I have gradually bought the bits and pieces as I could afford them so I could get a better quality bathroom.

The tiles though did come from B&Q and are by Johnsons tiles and I got them when there was a 3 for 2 offer on.

Hope that is some help to anyone now reading this post and about to embark on the great bathroom project!

I am over the moon with my bathroom, it's been a long time coming but well worth the wait!!
  • My experience of TC products is very good. in comparison to other brands i have had in the past the quality is very good and the service we were given by our suppliers was excellent. They were able to advise what would work best for our bathroom and also gave us a very competative price because we ordered everything from them. We went with Merlyn Series 10 shower enclosures and TC ceramics & taps and could not be happier. Best deals we found were with Bathroom Builders Uk based in Stevenage.
  • My wife purchased a full bathroom suite from Aquabliss and I was very surprised at the ease of it all! Everything we ordered arrived and the only thing missing was a waste but we actually hadn’t ordered that! It was sent the next day!
The price was very cheap in comparison to a high street bathroom shop and never having purchased anything like this online before I can honestly say I would do it again!
    Well done Aquabliss!
  • I am currently building a wedding barn and I have been carefully sourcing all the items that I have needed which has involved extensive internet research. I have read the reviews both on TC as the manufacturer and Aquabliss as the supplier and I have found that although there may be some negative reviews on the whole they have positive feedback from most of their customers. I ordered 6 toilets (and seat), 6 basins and pedestals, a couple of small handwash basins, a range of taps and and some other items. So all in all a pretty big order! Hence the research!

The courier booked the delivery in with me and delivered on time and the order was complete. The only thing that was missing was a VAT receipt but that was sent out in the post after one call. I shopped here for one major factor and that was price so I didn't expect things to go as smoothly as they did! As the old adage goes you get what you pay for! I have bought lot's of items online and let's face it the experience is rarely plain sailing! This one was ok!
  • I ordered a wall hung toilet, sink and shower bath from TC stuff from Aquabliss. Very happy with the quality of the products.

My only gripe is that 1 item from my order (the sink) took weeks longer to arrive. No real explanation was originally given and after pressing them, I was told that TC had run into financial difficulties and this was the reason for the delay. Although I find this quite hard to believe, I really do not think it is fair on any customer to accept an order and take payment for it if an item is not in stock. This delay completely screwed up the timing of our project, also meaning there was a bath, shower screen and sink all kicking around for weeks.

During that period, somehow the sink sustained damage.

Saying all that, (although not initially) they were helpful on the phone, replaced a missing part within 48 hours and discounted the cost of the damaged sink.

I'd use them again - BUT not before i had an assurance that everything was in stock with a delivery date!
  • I do hope for your sake that you don't require any replacement parts in the future as TC have more than had financial troubles they have gone bust.
  • We purchased a toilet from Aquabliss - lovely toilet but entirely useless for the last 2 months. We picked it up and when it was installed we had no handle (hard to use a toilet that you cannot flush!) We called and told them, provided pictures for proof, 2 weeks later still no handle, called again and was assured they would send it out and we'd get one in a couple of days. Still no handle, a week later called again. Was told we'd get a tracking number to go with the newly shipped handle. No email arrived and about 4 days later, we did then receive a handle. When our plumber went to install it, it was the wrong handle. Had to write to them, again, and we've been told we'll receive a new set - I am still waiting and holding it in! As I said to them, this would almost be laughable except we're living it. They seem to refuse to take a real look at the problem and resolve it, something is seriously amiss with their distribution centre (I've heard from their staff that other handles were missing) and it seems no one wants to be truly accountable for the issue and making sure the customer has a product that can be used.

Do they save you money? Possibly. But after a certain point the money saved on a useless product, well is just flushing money down the drain (which seems to be the only thing that can be flushed down this toilet's drain!)
  • Aquabliss have been appalling and I would not use them. They sent the incorrect product, the basin was damaged, and the packaging ripped apart. They were rude and unhelpful on the phone, and compared to just about every other company I dealt with in my bathroom and house renovation. These guys were the worst by a country mile!
