Right, big faffer yesterday, thanks for your kind words but really one look around this house and you'd see it's just not on.
Need to sort stuff. Earlier in this diary there was talk of coat racks being sorted, still not acheived, so today I will along with the kitchen drawers. Honest. Need to be able to find stuff !
2 days alcohol free, quality sleep. No-one has to be anywhere or go anywhere today so I can do some real pottering that I'll be able to see results from.DC.

Have a great weekend DC. Look forward to hearing that your coat rack and kitchen drawers are immaculate lol.
Once they are done, tape up the drawers and cover the coat rack in brown paper so no one can ruin your good work.
I once had a boyfriend and his mother covered all the furniture in dust sheets and the carpet in plastic sheeting, so that everything would remain spotless. I never did get to see what lay beneath. The place looked a bit like a morgue, but it must have cut down on the cleaning lol!
Actually, my best friend married this same bloke, no hard feelings, but the MIL turned out to be a total nightmare and control freak and I don't think they have spoken in the last 10 years. I'm not sure what the moral of the story is lol!
Bye for now x.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Oh Scrooge ! Lucky escape....
Me personally given up on spotless, just want tidy functional living space.
Four coats to be recycled via doorstep charity bag, one hardly worn going on ebay. Piles of shredding from kitchen draw that was general dumping area for anything that needed a 'home in a hurry'.
However piles of well used, much loved but stained recipes need a home, somewhere I have a laminator...DC.

Laminator works ! Recipes sorted, filed in my nice tidy kitchen draw.
Which reminds me how many birthday cake candles and accessories does one actually need ? I think I bought enough from Woolies over the years for my 50th ! All discovered in different locations. And Tesco clubcard/keyring things, none of them current.
Anyway I have started the great declutter, rid the house of 12 things yesterday, and listed 4 items on ebay/amazon.
Today I venture into the big cupboard, top of the stairs....used to be used for hide and seek, fat chance of that these days.
On the food front nice piece of reduced top rump for the boys today.
DS2 cooked beautiful chicken kievs last night. Even his brother complimented him. I have new cooking/diet rules I am implementing too.
No more attempts at chinese food, no-one really likes it, and it always tastes the same. Yes I use a jar.....:o
No more buying frozen fish, is expensive and poor quality. The dog now has 3 frozen salmon steaks bought on offer from Mr T's and quite frankly they are cat food. No offence to any cats intended.
Water, I really need to drink some of this stuff !
Right a browse round diaryland is called for before the dog wakes.DC.

Hurrah for the great declutter :T and double hurrah for tidying that kitchen drawer. Whoever invented kitchen draweres ought to be shot - all they do is gather "stuff".
Have you watched Michael McIntyre doing "the Man Drawer"? If not, please put it on youtube and if you don't laugh yourself silly, I will want an explanation of why!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes.
