  • Good Morning

I have had a lovely birthday weekend and am all bright eyed and bushy tailed. Birthdays do that don't they ? Bit like New Year, clean slate.
I'm now an even number, know it sounds silly but I prefer it !

Been thinking - again - and decided the way I rush around trying to do everything puts me in a frantic, chaotic state of mind, can only do one thing , properly, at a time. Is it an age thing ?

So this job of mine that I dislike. I've made some decisions, they may sound negative but it's a case of where the buck stops. I'm paid to do one thing, well. So that's what I'll do. Others around me are skilled, trained and paid a whole pile more to make important decisions, when they are not available it's not down to me. I'm not putting myself in that position. In some cases it means somebodys health may be at risk.

So until I find the right position for me, I'm taking a step back. Coming home in a bad mood is not good for our family life. Getting back with the OU will be a big boost to my self confidence too. Still undecided on a course.

Moving on, financially I'm still in a sticky patch, but budgets being adhered too will be a big step forward. Looking ahead in 3 months time I'll have £30 extra a month due to some insurance direct debits finishing and TV licence payment changing. I have made serious inroads into an Emergency Fund.

I am below the 27k mark by £3 !:T And I'm not going back there.
Looking forward to Easter with plenty of vegging out, but the to do list needs revamping a little.

    Have a good Tuesday :)

    Welcome to Active April !

A mountain of tasks await me. House remains a clutter magnet, can't even get to the dreaded cupboard under the stairs (not a bad thing!) due to shoes, coats and general 'stuff' ! Utility room is hiding under a mountain of junk too.

My general health needs some TLC, been on the beer since my birthday last week and slipped back in to old habits. Knock that on the head a bit swiftish. Throw in the 'still smoking' malarky...:o. The mad dog would welcome a few longer walks too, so with lighter mornings getting up half an hour earlier will do us both good.

Job, one of my colleagues, a wonderful, caring, funny girl has just handed in her notice. I shall miss her sanity and humour, it's not going to get any better without her, so continue with the job search.

Just done a decent shop for the forthcoming Easter hols, I'm hoping the ever hungry boys will take their time in devouring it all.

Plan for some well balanced vegging and decluttering as I'm off now until Tuesday.

    Right let's walk that dog...
