Been feeling low, no idea why, well I do but letting it get to you just doesn't help.
When you get that 'There must be more to life ?' stage you really have to stop digging don't you ?
I've turned it around this morning, counted a few blessings and shaken it off.
Attempted a job application yesterday, four attempts kept making mistakes and gave up until head tuned in at some point over the weekend.

Going to make it a good day.

    Hi DC,

It's good to hear from you on cream cake Friday.

I reckon you're right, often there is no alternative but simply to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and start all over again. Hopefully, each time it happens we are a little bit further forward than the time before.

I think half the battle is trying to find a way of enjoying the journey, you've got a good sense of humour and that always helps!

    Hi DC

Sorry you are feeling a bit weird. Perhaps you could make a list of what thing you would like from this next year (starting today) and then work out how you could make a start on at least some items on your list...... Warning though - I did that - and within 2 months I had resigned and hopefully 3 months on I am about to start a new job - plus am in process of setting up my own business. Deciding what you really want can really change your life LOL

  • Thanks girls, I'm sure it's just a low spot, I can't afford many of them.

Anyway inspired by 40sm's 'new' plan I have something similar. (incorporates your idea SH) B'day approaching, the start of a whole new me. Yes it's rubber ball syndrome again but as long as I keep bouncing back I I'll get there.

Am lacking in self confidence and self belief at the moment, lots of big sighs and navel gazing !

So onwards and most definetely upwards.

I'm in the same camp at the moment DC, been ridiculously busy, I've been doing 2 jobs at work for the last 3 1/2 weeks whilst colleague is off on bereavement leave, I hope she feels well enough to come back on Monday cos I am absolutely exhausted. Plus I leave my job on Thursday and have lost so much time to catch up

I am looking forward to next Friday though, would have *officially* left job (although I will go in to catch up in the hols and earn some extra money ) and will start preparing for the new job

I just seem to see next Friday as my turning point in life iykwim *shrugs*

Hope you get your plan sorted out and start to feel brighter soon xxx

good luck with new job jo

DC - hope that you find a positive focus soon. I decided to start a bucket list this year... I have never been to a pop concert despite being about to turn 40 - so am going to 2 this year and I can't wait. One with DS and one with OH!!! It's lovely to have something to look forward to - and it didn't cost the earth!

  • SH - that's a great thing to add to your bucket list. DH and I used to go to at least one concert a month (before we had the children) saw everyone from Billy Joel to Aha! Still have the T-Shirts ! You'll have a great time. Who are you going to see ?

Jo - take it easy this week, and hope the new horizon is everything you want it to be.
