I was wondering if someone could advise me please.
I have an existing Sky Tv Package that includes basic channels, sports & movies and would just like to add broadband and not the phone calls.
I have been told that Sky Broadband is free to existing customers but from looking on the site it doesn't seem that it is. I have read about a £30 installation fee.
Can anyone confirm that Broadband is free for existing sky customers please.
It's only free if you are on a Sky LLU exchange.
Check on www.samknows.com, then exchange search, LLU Operator Presence.
And even if you can get it, it's a miserable capped 2MBps speed and a 2GB data allowance. To get a decent speed/allowance you have to pay an extra fiver. Oh, and you have to take Sky Talk with it.
In other words, a classic bait and switch tactic. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thanks for your replies.
I looked for an LLU operator presence for Sky and it was enabled in March 2007.
It sounds as though i may be better off getting my broadband with someone else then and keeping my Sky Tv as it is.0 -

Do you have any other LLU presence - like O2/Be?It sounds as though i may be better off getting my broadband with someone else then and keeping my Sky Tv as it is.
That's what I have done - O2 for £7.50pm (O2 mobile customer discount) with 2 months free and £75 Quidco cashback. Net cost for one year = £0.0 -
What are your other LLU options? If you want a very limited 'free' service and you can take Sky Talk, then fine. Otherwise there are much better options (like O2 if available LLU).No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thank you for your advice.
I am at work at the moment but will look into the other alternatives you have given.
