Hi
Sorry not sure if this is the right place to post but I already have Sky and am wanting to switch my landline telephone and Internet BroadBand to Sky.
Can someone tell me how much this could cost roughly and how much it would continue to be each month so I can compare savings before I decide to go ahead. Thought there might be someone more knowledgeable or who already has the combined package.
I am currently on Sky + with Multiroom on the 5 mix so paying £32 a month (£22 for package + £10 Multiroom), but will be removing Multiroom soon.
Thanks

You haven't said which Sky phone and broadband packages you want, so a bit tricky to advise. All the prices are on the Sky website.
Beware that the 'free' broadband is only a 2MBps service with a 2GB cap, so you'll be paying an extra fiver to get a reasonable speed and download allowance. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Basic broadband is free, telephone line rental is £10 (soon to be £11 but still cheaper than BT by about £1.50) but with free evening and weekend calls. Calls to Sky are free also evenings and weekends.
I have this with no problem at all.
the only downside is 0870 and 0845 numbers are expensive but i usually go onto
Saynoto0870 and get a generic number.
The best advice I can give is if yu are going for it then haggle with Sky, its amazing how many freebies you can get if you just tell them you are thinking about it and let them think they have talked you into it.
Good luckmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Hi
Not very well actually
rang them up and asked for costing and it turns out it will cost more than what we are paying now to different companies!
Basicaly Unlimited talk costs £5 per month
or Evening & weekend calls cost £17 a month.
There is a one off setup / transfer cost of £30 (if already a Sky digital subscriber otherwise £60).
Then for 3 months they give free line rental (if you dont want to pay BT seprately and just have 1 bill) line rental costs £10 a month.
So £22 for 3 months then goes up (as £10 line rental added) to £32 a month.
In addition to this you pay your usual Sky subscription payment (for me its £33 a month as I have Sky+ and Multiroom although I will soon be removing Muktiroom to bring it down to £23 a month).
So in total for the combi pack of Satelite, phone (unlimited) and Broadband ( 20 MB / 40 GB download limit ) it will cost me £64 a month plus calls on top
Where as I am currently being charged £59.98 a month (soon to be £49.98 when I remove Multiroom):
£14.99 a month BroadBand
£12.49 a month Anytime telephone incl. line rental (plus calls)
£33.00 Sky Subscription
Plus I will lose my Tesco Clubcard points (which are useful to me personally).
So NO savings either way and not much of a good deal for an existing customer seeming I have been with them 9 years now!
Thinking cap back on as I search for better deals.
Hope that helps - Thanks

I was thinking of going to Sky for phone& BB moving from BT. Now I don't think I will bother, so thanks for that Crispy £note! You live..You learn.:)0

We have basic Sky TV, broadband and phone and pay only about £25 a month -but we don't have multiroom and don't have any need for more than the 2GB broadband. When I rang Sky to try to find out whether the £4.95 a month BT was offering us for anytime unlimited calls would be worth it, i found out that our broadband comes free with the TV package and the price for their anytime unlimited calls was the same. Also they offered us the free calls for £0 for the next 6 months......So I left things as they were. (as you do...)
Sky are charging you such a lot - is this an example of them being nice to (relatively) new customers - we've been with them 2 years now - and not treating the old established ones so well? Maybe if Virgin are in your area you could ring Sky and tell them you were considering changing - see if they come up with a better offer?0 -
Sky's broadband has just doubled in price; I'm thinking of moving elsewhere.0

Hello,
I was wondering if someone could advise me please.
I have an existing Sky Tv Package that includes basic channels, sports & movies and would just like to add broadband and not the phone calls.
I have been told that Sky Broadband is free to existing customers but from looking on the site it doesn't seem that it is. I have read about a £30 installation fee.
Can anyone confirm that Broadband is free for existing sky customers please.0 -

Yes if you take the base 2Mb package and also Sky Talk. You also need to be in an LLU exchange to get it.0
