Yes i already found out - this site is quick!! I think they are great, i will look for one. I like their grumpy faces.Owed out = lots. :cool:0 -
Sadly due to the faces they have numerous health problems, I hope you're not thinkin of buying one based on a pic?0

They tend to have problems with their airways and tear ducts because of their squashy faces and will need lots of daily grooming and care.
Something to really have a think about before getting one on a whim! What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -

Just bear in mind sometimes those cute grumpy faces have problems, infections in the foldy bits, and breathing problems, and they need daily grooming. I love them as people but the ones I lived with were anything but low maintainance and often quite unhealthy:(0 -
OK thanks for all the info, i am researching their health now i believe there are short hair persians too so i am looking into them. Shame they have health problems.Owed out = lots. :cool:0

I once had a persion she was a rescue ,it was hard work and she needed brushing daily if not more ,she was a lovely cat but did suffer various problems and I would not have another one again ,I now have 2 moggies one of which is now 19 years old .0

I've not come across short hair persions, but its not just the length, its the density of the coat. The onbes I lived with two of the needed daily injections (not old cats) and all of them needed the daily facial washing, and the infections were always grumbling away. The brucshing was often uncomfortable and franly, I think a lot of the time they were miserable. But they were lovely, loving people, and it I found their lives sad.
