Does anyone else get starving hungry when they stop drinking?

Craving for sweet things is very common, I think most of us have had (or still have) that. It's your body looking for the same sugar rush you get from alcohol.

    Apart from that, I haven't really (unless it's a good steak :D )

As Mich says, big time, never ate chocolate, biscuits, pudding, for the first three weeks, oh yes big time, just waiting to see if it will happen again, after last weeks, errors:confused:

It's not just sweet things Mich, it's anything at all really, just can't seem to stop today. Oh dear, am I swapping one addiction for another??

A days eating sounds better than a days drinking :)
If you've not been eating properly for any significant time your body needs to get used to processing food again

Never had a problem eating, just drank huge amounts as well. As you say Mich, eating loads today better than drinking.

Maybe your stomach's feeling deprived of it's usual quantities then
I certainly wouldn't worry about it though :)

Hiya Mich, Susie, Al, and wanty :j

Hope everyone is ok! Wanty, I would agree with you on what you said earlier. My Grandad(Mum`s Dad) was as drinker as well as my Mum and I very rarely drink because it doesn`t agree with me, get a really bad headache after just one drink. Doesn`t stop me smoking though and I lost my Dad through heart diesease, he was only 56 and that in itself should stop me smoking. i really need to try and stop again.
