    Hi Thanks Habibi
I have still not decided what to do about the working away. My only fear is that it would bring it to a head quickly as he is sure to slip up and let the kids know. They are 23 and 21 and yes my daughter is getting some counselling although they keep cancelling her appts!!! Re the debts most are in my name as I took the cards to keep us going. However about £4000 are in his name and the o/d is a joint account. I am seriously looking at the full and final settlement route as at least then I will have one less worry. OH is off to the premiere of a film that was made in our town tonight with the children so a bit of piece for me. I dont know whether to spend the night cleaning, searching for booze or maybe I will go to the Al Anon meeting which is on tonight. Thanks for your help. I will keep you posted. Just feeel very let down by all of this but whats new there then !!!

    Hi Rose

My understanding is that the lies and cover-ups hurt the children as much as the drunken behaviour - maybe it needs to be brought to a head. Maybe your children would find help in Al-Anon. I know you must feel let down but I came to understand that my husband was a very sick person and was not doing it to me on purpose. He could not be there for me.That let me feel compassion for him.
If you do go the final settlement route you may be able to prove that at least some of your debts are in fact joint debts. As I said , leave the £4,000 to your OH to sort out, that is his debt.
Re what to do tonight, I learnt I achieved nothing by searching for bottles, it only made me even more angry. The Al-Anon meeting will bring some peace into your life and help to straighten out your thinking. You will find support there and people who understand what you are going through.
Let me know how you are getting on.
    Hugs

    I am fine thankyou.

    How about you habibi?

I've had a funny week, no alcohol, well 2 glasses of wine at BIL's managed it really well and really enjoyed social drinking for the first time in absolutely ages. Didn't drink when I got home, which was always my thing to do, had some momentary pangs and had to go for a ciggie (yes still do that, but less) but got over it in a fraction of the time it would have taken me before.

:D I never want to be perfect, that would be boring, I have always liked being a bit different to everyone else.
    Even if its inside :)

How are you Al with your work?

I had to go to a place I'm not too fond of today, I had no problems at all and felt really confident, lifts your spirits :)

I'm off work :) Everything got sorted. Start part time on 1st March, just an hour less a day, but will be good for me, so long as I use it as ME time :)

Tend to find if I think I'm not going to like something, it doesn't turn out as bad, but not good.
