    Hiphouse, well done for posting, anybody is welcome to jump in at anytime, we all started as strangers and the people round here change up and down alot. :)

    lewts already helped you with the AA questions, I don't do it either.
    Well done for stopping the drinking, as Al says, drop in again and give us some more info on yourself.

    just a qustion jayne but do you think you could have stopped if you had wanted? ie you had the power or do you thinklike my drinking the algery kicked in and it was behond you to stop(powerless)?

    Lewt it was blind and sheer panic i have never been so terrified i can honestly say with hand on heart it was one time that i wanted to drink until i passed out. I was also going through insomnia at the time as well. But i worried about everything and everyone it was nothing to do with a craving. Although i know exactly where you are coming from with the idea of the craving:)

    so are you saying you drink to feel young of that you drink to fell "trouble free"?
    I don't drink a lot or that often but find I have two effects

    It either makes me more irritable and aggressive or I feel free of the irritations and it reminds me of being 14 years old. 14 was when I drank seriously but not to excess.

    It is not predictable either. I can have a drink of whatever one night and it be fine, the next can be a bad trip.
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:
    I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.

    I drank(for the first time) when I was 14 because other people that I wanted to be with were drinking. after that I am reminded of the question as to why a dog licks its own privates? the answer is because it can. that was me with drink. On discovery, there was no other thing to do.

    I was completely uninterested in alcohol until I was 18, then it didn't get bad for many years.
    I was working away hard all week, living with two other guys, weekends would be socilising down the pub, weekdays would be in some cheap b&b, so you have to go somewhere..... went on for quite a few years. But it never really got a big problem till I started drinking at home.
    Started saving for a house and it was cheaper to drink at home. Looking back, I worked out that to have a good night I needed to drink, also to forget the horrible working week. I don't know the exact moment, but it started to get out of control then.
